Thank you for putting this interview together. It was nice to hear the passionate devs discuss their game with you and I am happy to support them by purchasing the early access release. 👍

You could really hear their passion come through because they had so much to say about everything and couldn't help but keep making promises for big ideas they have haha!

The music is phenomenal. The world design and artwork is S-tier. The characters are silly and great (love the cog fish). Deadcells was an S-tier roguelike early in its life and became truly great by the end with all the expansions and alternative routes and weapons.

The game is insanely addicting but the thing that stands out to me the most is how fire the soundtrack is! Especially that first zone. Like holy shit, its so epic!

What a great showcase, a lot of insight thanks to the dev team and very good questions from Dan, the man, himself! Amazing video, thank you very much. I was late to the stream so very glad you edited a KZbin video out of the event.

HOly...listening to these guys talk i fucking love them. such cool philosophies and ideologies embedded in this game.. instead of just making a game multiplayer, the whole game functions cooperatively. amazing you guys. for some reason i think it's easy to write this game off from the surface in its' aesthetic relation to mobile games but that couldn't be more wrong, it has so much depth

really cool and beautiful game, and really really nice devs aswell! I really like the vibe and comunication and approach to the game. That they don't cut stuff that was not intended but very fun for players, the balance approach, etc etc Thank you for this stream

Great interview, it got me as excited for this game as I am for Hades 2
@tunab6663 ай бұрын
Got the game and LOVED the intro (music and animation)! Gameplay is fun and challenging, I enjoyed multiplayer a lot, even without voice chat. I think more secrets and enemy variety would benefit the game long terma but I am glad i got it and excited to see where they will be going with it :)

"It's fun and useful for people, why remove the fun?" S tier development mentality. Look forward to figuring out that dash strat and others!

I had a run with the firestaff (crits on ignited enemies) where, all attacks ignite, and trinket cooldowns are decreased by 1 second per crit. It was big good.

I don't buy anything before the first post-release patch these days, but I'm very tempted. This already seems like a whole complete game

I got this game for 17.99 (because I owned dead cells already) and it’s the best deal that will continue to keep giving for years and it’s been a blast already. Never had such a fun and easy co-op experience in a roguelite before.

I would love if they added a boss in the rat village or smth because omly having 2 bosses per run seems weird to me
@tyg-zw7nn3 ай бұрын
@@Teryte it’s definitely not a complete game yet. There’s no way
@Teryte3 ай бұрын
@@tyg-zw7nn yeah it's just the developers didn't say anything about adding a new biome at the end o smth only adding alternatives to existing biomes

Guys please help me to understand how crystallize works. Like when you are ready to execute enemy there is a LT icon for less than a second. If you If you don't have time to press the trigger while the icon is there, then crystallize won't activate? Am I right?
@Avendesora3 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's a quicktime event. You only have a short window where it will work.
@Fleepwn3 ай бұрын
Pretty sure while you're using crystallize, you're invincible (I mean while the animation is playing), so as long as you press it right when the prompt shows up, you can safely activate it. But yeah, if you miss it, you lose it.

@@Avendesora do you know how the chain alter works? I couldnt even break the door when I discovered it.
@Avendesora3 ай бұрын
@@mathieumaxwell You attack six times in a row. So keep going with your weapon after you hit the first alter and you'll get a second one that's a yellowy-gold color. Then attack with your other weapon. I struggled with it too at first lol, I don't think the feedback is particularly good when you're doing something wrong.

I'm iffy on the sudden death mechanic. It kind of makes taking health boosts meaningless. Perhaps you get +1 hit per 100hp during sudden death. I see the real issue being during boss encounters, where the difficulty ramps up; it's likely much easier to kill a few normal enemies during sudden death than finishing a boss without taking a hit. Just my two cents.

I’ve watched all his videos on this so far. I want to like this and love rouge likes, but the character, enemy, weapon and level designs aren’t working for me. Not like dead cells did. Either way, I hope the best for this game and the devs. They seem like good people and I’m sure there’s an audience for this title.
@aaronkaw48573 ай бұрын
I don't think it was a good move for you to proceed a run on your own. Was that agreed with the devs? You just left them watching and sitting around when then the plan was to coop with them.
@TheRogBG2 ай бұрын
Did you ask them about sudden death and when they are fixing it? full disclosure i didn't watch the entire video.
@goatmeal52413 ай бұрын
I'm very skeptical of the ally-death making the surviving player(s) fight with sudden-death. It punishes players who build for slow weapons and taking hits, could be a source of friction/resentment between teammates, and seems like a real reason not to play co-op with less-skilled friends until you have unlocked/beaten everything, since their death can just kill you out of nowhere. I stopped playing Dead Cells once that became a big part of the game, since that perfection-based playstyle is just more anxiety-inducing than it's worth for me.
