Great info! Have a 90 Notch with a liberty, gears, built TKX micro polished shot pinned and cryo . It’s ProCharger looking to push the envelope . At 600 rwhp now . Do think it will hold more then 700 tq at wheels in your opinion .

Don Glidden had a 1984 Thunderbird with a Lenco which is technically a manual transmission. Gliddens Thunderbird was quicker.

Depends on weight imo. If your a 3k pound car then probably wont happen. Light is might and TKX can easily run into the 9's and stay there if the car was light and had good suspension.

@@Neomustangs cars pretty light lol interior is stripped to the body behind the drivers seat. Aluminum kirkeys. No ac. Only pulleys im running are water pump alt and power steering. Should be at about high 11s low 12s right now with a stock motor with just an exhaust. Obviously 9s are a long way away but I'll get there eventually. I've made it this far on stock power after all lmao but this t5 is starting to let go after 3 years of running it hard at least twice a week and driving it to work every day that I don't

Tremec says 600tq rated. Is that suppose to be wheel or flywheel? I always assumed that was flywheel but don’t really know.

Quick question dan un related topic but I just changed out my starter solenoid acting up on me behind the batter an after install everything was good but my windows have no power what could i have done wrong I plugged everything back in the same way it was maybe it has seperate fuse or somthing ?

For your same set up 302 on3 , do you recommend the close ratio or wide ratio version? My gears are 331 and I’ll be running a 28 tire 275/60/15 but also street drive with a 275/40/17 about 26in

When you make the TKX follow up video, can you discuss in further detail the relationship of your rear end gear, tire size, and choice of 1st gear ratio in the TKX? Just curious what's your clutch set up in the black car, how do you break it in, and how long does it typically last? Also what happened with the hatch to coupe conversion?

Hatch to coupe isnt lost.. its a winter project. With 2 turbo cars + dads SBE car it keeps me super busy. Sense it all still runs as for winter time.. then we will have time. We had a mcleod twin rxt in both turbo cars.

to really test a trans is to take it out on the street with that 690tq power your making and actually try to BREAK IT and then you will see how tuff it is and where the weak spot really is, i mean thats what they do in the RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT fase of testing?????????
