Looking forward to seeing you turn this one up. I have GT40P/B303/explorer intake on the shelf. Maybe I should put them on this summer.

I don't care what anyone says, that's an impressive low key street build that can compete with today's street production cars (LS, Hemi, and Coyote). For me the blue LX is a favorite.

I can confirm that. I have a similar build on Holley efi in a 95 mustang. Outrun every scat and coyote that tries me. I daily mine to work everyday. It's on 10 pounds

Looks eerily similar to the one I just had on the dyno on my channel. 😊 Torque monster 474lbft at the start of the pull 3500 rpm. Big ports, no torque OLD maids tales. BUILD it right they rip!!!

I'm my own worst enemy. I built a 347 back in 2002. Still have the same engine, it's just getting tired. It's not a daily but gets driven usually once a week or two. I've built many engines for others. I have two blocks on the stand to build a 408 or 418. One block is a '72. Another is a '86. I can't decide which block to use or what route to go. Definitely on a budget the way the economy is now. I'm going to use the heads I have on the 347 now. They are vic Jr 2.05s. I plan to use the 850 double holley that I'm currently using also. I've kicked around the idea of going turbo, but not really fi. May just run some juice. I don't want to build something that relies on the bottle for power, but that can also hold up under a large shot. I really like that my '65 is carburetor. I plan to go with a big cam and have issues with it idling. I just want that pure race sound as I drive around. My kids think it already sounds like a race car, I just want more. I'm getting older and cranky so having a cranky car doesn't bother me. But as you can tell, I'm my own enemy. The blocks have been on the stands for well over two years now as I walk by them everyday wondering which route to go. Another issue is the two machine shops I trusted have shut down. And I don't know the others. I work on customers vehicles everyday, but that's just running my own repair shop. Any suggestions on which block? The '72 or the '86? Or should I just pull and freshen up the 347?
