Wow 🤩 never mind the Christmas list, I want one now please. My elderly, very small arthritic hands are itching to grab one of these puppies and get out there. How lucky that I bought the hedgecutter during the summer so already have the battery and charger 🤣Great demo of what will be a well used addition to my garden tool bag.

I love the gta26 and just ordered the Asa 20 bare unit as I have got loads of batteries from the gta 26. Looking forward to the new pruners as I have the Bosch assist but weakness in my left hand now makes it hard to use the Bosch.

This is very much a Stihl version of the Milwaukee M12 pruning shears in the way it operates! Not bad Stihl!

Always advise wearing a decent pair of gloves 😅
@dogsbod25 ай бұрын
That’s the thing that puts me off getting one. I’ve had too many near misses with normal ones. Don’t think gloves would make a bit of difference.

Magic, looks good. I do a lot of apple and fruit trees, by the end of the pruning season, I feel like my arm is broken. Stihl promo video says these are targeted at homeowners. Does it feel like it's heavy duty commercial kit? Would it last a couple of weeks of full time use? I guess if it only lasts a season, it's not all that expensive to chuck it and buy another one.

I know what I’m getting next and judging by the thickness of what it can cut , it would save my gta26 a lot of work 👍
@MachineryNation5 ай бұрын
Nice! You can obviously buy it as a kit or use the battery off of your GTA26 to run it and purchase it as a unit only. Let us know if you do get one, be interesting to hear how you get on 👍👍

I’ve got einhell ones of those the battery is a lot higher but they’re brilliant. Do the batteries last long? The hand saw literally runs them out in five mins which is pretty crap.
@mattjaggard79375 ай бұрын
Do these fit in a normal secateurs pouch? Dont want to pick them off the floor all the time.
@Gordon_L5 ай бұрын
I have the DeWalt 18/20 volt version , use them often , takes the same batteries as the pole saw and all the other gear I have from them . I love my Stihl chainsaws and brushcutter but they are two stroke . Too late now for me to consider another battery platform .
@MachineryNation5 ай бұрын
Thanks Gordon. Yes sometimes it makes sense to stick with a brand if you have the batteries already. But then if you love STIHL then its the only option 😉

It would probably be available through a dealer as a spare part rather than a whole good. If you contact a Stihl dealer they will be able to get them for you.

Great if you're old and have arthritis etc. Would be alot quicker with a decent pair of Felcos though 😂
@mistyboat5 ай бұрын
There's pros and cons to each, whether you are old and have arthritis or not. I've switched over to mainly using electric secateurs after 20 years of using Felcos, after hundreds of thousands of cuts I wish id done it sooner. I mainly only use Felco snips for more detailed work like deadheading , outside of that I find electric secateurs better in almost every way including speed to regular secateurs, they also replace loppers on some cuts.
@MachineryNation5 ай бұрын
😅 Felcos would be harder work after a days use 😉

"you wouldn't dream of doing these cuts with manual secateurs".......not true, I have some really cheap Chinese manual ratchet secateurs, they'd make those cuts no problem at all. They only cost about £6 too.
