I bought a Eliet Minor on the back of this review. I’d hired chippers and shredders and after a lot of research and using I went for a shredder. I’ve been using it for a year in my small business and struggle to fault it. Anything over 2 inches gets cut, seasoned then burnt in woodburner, everything else goes through the shredder. The only time it jams is when it’s about to run out of fuel and I find the tyres are too big for the wheels causing it to sway like a car ferry in a storm when moving. Other than that it’s been a massive asset, keep up the entertaining reviews 👍

If I may add, locust tree also makes good wood for fire. High BTU.

I have an 029 that probably just needs a carburetor, but I bought a MS361 to stay with the 3/8 pitch bar and chain and RS model chain. Wth is Stihl thinking making the "Farm Boss" the MS271, but going away from the 3/8 pitch being an option? They should stick with what works.

the 12.0 was slower in the track saw because your pulling more weight. also the way the string slides on the end of the track isn't consistent. could use a pully or bearing

I wish I knew somewhere to order one that would ship to the US. Looks like it will be spring of 2025 before they available here

The BGA 250 puts out 11 Newtons on level 1; 15 Newtons on level 2 (the same as the BG 86, incidentally); 20 Newtons on level 3; and 26 Newtons in boost mode...this makes the BG 86 look anemic. I know; I've owned the 50, the 56 and the 86, before I tried Stihl's battery blowers. I've had the BGA 56, BGA 57, BGA 60, BGA 86, BGA 100 and now the 250. This 250 is an animal.

I have to say that the connection system that Ego is using looks awfully similar to Milwaukee’s system….hmm! I’m wondering if it will play together? If not then Milwaukee needs to hurry up and build us an aerator attachment! Looks good Ego!

They use the hook for logs so when your putting the logs on the spliting machine of spliting block then its easier to put it on that way...

Love my ego weed whacker and wöak-behind mower, we have a husqvarna ts138 mower with plow and chains for winter but this seems like a nice machine. If they have compatible plows and so on, on the way, and chains, then I would likely consider it. Especially if it has a simple mounting process.

If Stihl had made a smaller lighter version of the 500i i would have been keen but they just made it look like 1 unfortunately.

Stihl is so afraid of weight, they use thin clutch drums and wont offer heated handles? Yep, that's a working man's saw...yawn.

Is it too much to ask if Stihl can make a saw that sits flat on a work bench?

Us current 400 owners will just have to wait for the updated 462 in a few years. The new 400 is just an improved 362. The compact and light almost 70cc saw, will be gone...for now. Current 462 is chubby.

I think it's quite EVIDENT that Milwaukee DOES watch your videos. Otherwise you wouldn't have pulled your comparison video between this saw and the EGO CSX5000; where the Milwaukee came in a distant second place! They must have been quite upset with you.

I use my BR800c back pack blower to blow them all in a pile then use my vacuum to suck them all up. Looks like a new design on the elbow and the bag from the gas model

I’ve got the petrol BG86 which is a sucker and blower. I wouldn’t swap it for one of these sucker only things, as it is a dual purpose machine I use all year round, unlike this which would sit in the store for 50 weeks of the year.
@danohanlon8316
@danohanlon8316 2 күн бұрын
This guy says this is its “equivalent” of the (petrol) SH86, which I’ve used for years. But this model is a vacuum only-*and* it costs even more than the 86. So it’s just not for me. The problem is, as the (last few seconds of the video makes plain, that as far as collecting goes, sucking is many times less efficient than blowing. It is far more efficient to blow leaves into piles first-only then (and if desired) to use the vac, which otherwise and basically only sucks up one or two leaves at a time. If Stihl comes out with a battery powered blower-vac, that will be a different matter.

It would be helpful to know the remainder of the battery capacities after the test run. I might assume the Forge would have more left because it gets through the work faster but that might not be true.
