I have a steel xmas tree. Getting a big tree down by myself was just too much of a pain. The steel tree comes apart and fits in one flat bag. I decided what i like best about a tree is seeing all my ornaments (baubles). Without all the. Greenery you can really see them. Happy Christmas to you and yours. We don’t usually get a white christmas in Virginia. But i have had a few in the past. Once i was in Maine for christmas and it was very white. My aunt lived near Stephen King so we went caroling there. Didn’t see him but got to see the cool gates he has on his house. ❤

Love the tree. The bug white flowers look to be Magnolias and the big red ones are poinsettia, the grouped ones look like they could be peonies. I saw a grinch tree at a friend's. They have baubles in green with face stickers, baubles, and tiny houses with who's on them, the fur, some sprigs sticking out, green and white lights, and the Grinch legs. But the legs are in the center of the tree looking like he crashed into it. And I think the topper is a Max antler. It's very cute.

I remember my first year at university in Stafford/UK, the first day we had snow over at the student accommodation, the amount of students from overseas that went out and just danced in the snow was amazing. They had never seen snow before either, it was such a magical sight! We don't get it much here in the UK now, the weather people have been threatening a possible white Christmas this year, but looking outside right now, I can't see that happening. Probably just cold and rainy! I don't really do much to celebrate Christmas since losing my mother. I just give gifts to my family and go back to hiding away. It's a painful time. Japan is amazing - I've been on a trip to Kyoto twice and I definitely want to go back. I went in the spring, though. For snow, if you two ever made it to Chicago, I'd love to give you a tour of the city, although honestly the winter (while it has snow) is kind of the worst time to come since the roads get slippery and it can be super cold. If you want snowballs, though, the snow needs to be a little bit wetter - powdery snow does not hold together well enough to make snowballs. Also, powdery snow occurs when it is *really* cold, so you really just want it to be right around freezing so the snow starts to melt a little bit; that little bit of water is what helps a good snowball stay together.

My birthday is the day after Christmas, your 'Boxing Day'. I put it up the 1st week of December or so and take my little tree down just after New Years. I have a little skinny 5ft tree thats maybe 15in wide at the bottom. Those large white flowers look like magnolia blossoms. I have a friend who has 3 cats and her tree hangs upside down, with the largest part on the ceiling! Its the silliest tree Ive ever seen!

Merry Christmas everybody from Germany. Nicole is for me a Christmas decoration queen. Looks amazing! I put my already decorated tree including lights up late this year. I think it was around 6th December. In Germany we put Christmas decorations away around 6th January. Catholic people tend to leave the lights up until Candlemas which is usually beginning of February. Aspen is in Colorado, US. Swuss or Austrian alps are usually guarantees for snow. If you do not want to much tourism Saalbach-Hinterglemm close to the Zeller lake in Austria would be nice. Been there myself a couple times.

I haven't put up a tree myself for several years. We have our ceramic tree, but I just bought a battery operated candle for it to replace the base with a regular light bulb. I envy you guys. I don't know what it's like to need air con on for Christmas. I don't mind the snow......it's the ice I don't like.

I love all your decorations! The Grinch tree turned out great! I love the lights at Christmas time. We used to put the outside lights on the house on Thanksgiving, and get a fresh tree a couple weeks before Christmas. The tree stayed up until a couple days after New Years. If you ever go somewhere for a white Christmas, go to a mountain resort that has snow tubing. There's usually a lift to take you to the top and the inner tubes give a nice soft ride. It's really a blast! But you can't wear flip flops and T shirts! 😄 🎄 Have a wonderful Christmas! 🎄

Let me give you a bit of knowledge of snow. Powder snow will not stick to make a snowman or snowball. As far as the best place for snow, your guess is as good as mine. Although, Colorado and Idaho have some great snow and a lot of it. But the way things are changing, who knows anymore. P.S. Thank you for inviting us into your holidays. Michigan has wild winter ❄️ weather. The powdery snow is good for skiing 🎿, but if you guys really want to make snowmen ☃️ or snowballs you need a wetter snow ❄️ and that's makes snowforts and stuff too. The States would be a great place for folks new to snow ❄️. I love the look on people's faces and their reactions the first time they experience it. Loved this vlog. I personally don't bother with a tree and Dec's as I'm on my own, and I go to my daughters for christmas. This year I'm driving 6 hours on christmas day to see her and my grandbabies. I think lapland would be a brilliant place to go as you get to see the snow and santa. This year, we put them up the weekend before Thanksgiving due to traveling on Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving weekend. In Iowa, it's a brown Christmas. It's too warm to snow. It was almost 50°F today. Where I live in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, It's usually a white Christmas. We've got lots this year. But with climate change we have been getting the occasional green one now. As for powdery snow, it depends on the weather. Fresh snow is usually when it's the most powdery. But too powdery and and it won't make good snowballs.

For instance Vic: Falls Creek, NSW: Blue Mountains, NSW: Mount Koscoiszko, Vic: Victoria National Park... and probably heaps more. Just a wee bit cheaper than the US, UK or Japan, I know it's not quite the same, but it is still snow. Our tree normally goes up weekend after our Thanksgiving then comes down sometime during 1st week of January. Some say it needs to stay up til like 2nd week. I wouldn't mind seeing snow on Christmas, I've never seen it on Christmas day. We may have a tiny bit once every 5 years n it's not much. Switzerland would be nice to see snow. The fur babies will be excited for Santa Paws...yay!! Christmas is my favorit time of year and I have had my tree up all year to spread the joy all year. when times are bad and have a glimmer of light all year round through covid. my recent camcar diagnosis and being sick for a few months I don't have the energy to put the tree up. thiz video is wonderful to watch because I am living the experience because I can't do it. I put my tree up in mid-November this year because we're going through stuff here in the US and I needed something to lift my spirits and not feel impending doom. I will probably take it down on New Year's Day. I keep the Christmas lights on my house until the snow melts and the ground isn't soggy, so maybe May-ish, but I'll hopefully be pregnant by then, so I'll probably have to get my dad to take them down for me. I keep the house lights lit until late February though because I like how they look. I also love the themed Christmas tree you guys put up. I should try that some time.

Ontario, Canada has a fair bit of snow! Used to be more consistent than it is in recent years. During the postal strike in Canada, I saw that a shoe designer or something like that was hand delivering some orders, and I thought of you and Nicole and Courtney, but it wouldn't be that economical for you to come deliver very much, and the things I ordered are already in the post on their way whenever the backlog is all taken care of here. When we actually put up a tree we leave it up till 6 Jan due to some early jan birthdays. Outside of house is decorated end Nov but we have not put up a tree now for several years our kids are adults. I saw someone decorate their tree with icicle lights. They put the main cord near the centre of the tree and then the icicles out along the branches

The decorations look so cool. I love the tree! I lived in Michigan for the first 30 years of my life, but now live in the south (Georgia), and I am so glad we rarely get snow down here. I've had enough to last a lifetime, lol. I put my trees (yes, trees, lol) up the weekend before Thanksgiving and they come down either Christmas night or the day after. One of my trees is flocked with "snow" and it is absolutely gorgeous. I'm with Nicole, I don't like the look of a white tree.

Ahh i take my tree down on Jan 6th..The 12th day of Christmas ..We call it Three Kings day .or the day the three wise men reached the Christ child .. Its snowing here as we speak. I love the Grinch tree .!! Great Vlog ..Merry Christmas ..xx

I put my tree up Thanksgiving weekend. It's pre lit black tree. Comes down Christmas night.

The gorgeous huge white flowers are Southern Magnolias. They're a bit larger than the one's we have in Southern California and a lot larger than those in QSLD. I only know this because our congregation got to host some delegates from QSLD. A mom and dad 2 sons and a daughter. The sons were both 6'7" or over 2 meters. I was so silly, without even thinking I yelled "oh my goodness you guys are so tall!" We did have a friend who is 2 inches taller but he had that huge farmboy build so his height wasn't as obvious.
