This is how Emirates and other Middle Eastern airlines keep their crew young. It is usually made clear that employment as flight attendants at these companies are only a temporary stage of your life. Meanwhile in North America and Europe, some flight attendants work well into their 60's and the longer you work, the more seniority and perks you get at the company.
@normadic4life2 жыл бұрын
Also should be noted that at emirates you don't get citizenship and so u cannot stay, u always have to think ahead

when you blame the company and when it appears to us that it is the desire if both spouses in all simplicity it seems that they are not anjoying thier married life or perhaps they are thinking of creating a life independent of the routine jobs
@mariandragne21882 жыл бұрын
Wrong. American and European crew are not as exposed as Middle Eastern crew. They get less work flow, they do not have thousands of services inflight, they get longer layovers outstation, meaning more period of rest. They have clear regulations and unions which help them with any ilegalities the company tries. On the other hand, a crew in middle east is flying until health starts giving signs. Basically, until exhaustion

So amazing how you put as #1 Lack of Sleep. Or in aviation lingo: LOS. 😂 I sat at the pointy end of the 380 and spent 20 years with EK experiencing every aspect of LOS. Getting booted and loosing my identity during the Covid chaos has been extremely painful, but every day I think of the extreme value of sleeping at night. My wife’s still an EK purser and I see the toll on her more every day. My wish to return to a job as a long haul Captain slowly dwindles toward zero as time goes by. I truly miss operating the airplane, having the world as your playing field, and that almost insane sense of freedom & available possibilities when you check into your room at one of the many exciting destinations. Yet again. LOS. Front & center. I can’t get away from it. I’ve never seen your channel before, but I’ll subscribe now & hope PV works out for you. I used to fly a 10-seat corporate airplane from LA at the beginning of my career, and some clients used to go to PV regularly so I’ve spent many nights enjoying local food & entertainment.

Hi guys, As a frequent flyer with EK I want to take a moment to thank you for your service. I have flown 28 flights so far with EK. And never had a bad experience. No matter if it was upper deck or main deck. The thing is, not many understand what it means to be a cabin crew. It's just serving coffee & tea and look pretty, right? Far from it. And I am fully aware of this as I also actually work with EK at my airport. Make no mistake, I do pay for my tickets though :) It should however not matter if I work with the company or not. I always treat cabin crew with the respect they deserve. So again, thank you for putting up with all those pax who think they own the airline just because they fly upper deck. Wish you both good luck on your new endeavors.

This was so bittersweet. I used to be a ticket agent at JFK Airport for Air France 2000 - 2001 (I had to work the day the Concorde crashed), and for American 2001 - 2008 (I was with them when September 11th occurred and when AA587 incident occured). I guess bad luck really followed me around. I wanted to call it quits after that but a coworker talked me out of it. The following 7 years I scratched my itch for travel THOROUGHLY. But eventually I just walked away and never looked back. I basically got burned out and the pay sucked. I'm now retired at 62 and I do not miss the workforce. But the travel itch is (slowly) returning. I am anxious to see more of your new life in Puerto Vallarta. It's on my travel wish list of places I've never been to. Your videos of PV from 2021 really sparked my interest in going there so I will probably go in 2023 with friends who have already been there several times. Puerto Vallarta seems like a vibrant spot without all the hustle and bustle of Mexico City, plus it's on the ocean. I've watched many videos of PV and the scenery is absolutely spectacular, especially the sunsets. And the cost of living is affordable unlike here in the USA. I am so happy for you both in making this drastic change in lifestyle!!! You are good people and I am sure GOD will bless it abundantly. Much success in the future. 😎😎😎

I felt the last part of saying good bye to the house for the very last time. Its true that home is where the heart is, and leaving your heart and moving apart is such a big decision. All the best

The emotion captured when you guys entered HQ, and crew accommodations, I relived this through you again. I left on amazing terms after a wonderful flying experience. It comes with it’s pros and cons but overall I was quiet fortunate to enjoy my travels and life in the UAE. All the very best to you on your next endeavours and journey ❤️. I’m back home in San Diego, very close to Mexico 😂

Aw all the best! Brings back all the memories and feelings, I left EK end of 2018 after 5 years. Was also in Silicon! Give yourself some time to adjust and settle in to your new life. Good luck x

It’s the different time zones that takes a toll on your body as cabin crew.

I've been through the same with Etihad. Good memories. Wish you the best for your future!

I predicted it like clock work. 5 to 7 yrs seems to be the limit for Cabin Crew. Are there any flight crew that have been there for more than 20 yrs, married and has kids???? In the USA it is more the standard than the exception. As a passenger I used to get FA'S with 30+ and they only did turns. Bless you on your next journey!!! One Love

You did the best thing...nothing is as good as being in control of your life, time and everything about you. Before you get into you are afraid of what might happen but once you dive in, it becomes easy because you are doing what you want without being forced. Remember when you are employed, your everything is controlled because everything you do depends on your work schedule that's designed by someone for you not by you. Am not a motivational speaker...am just saying it as it is. Therefore, you may fear but you will be fine. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST... WE'RE HERE WITH YOU. REMEMBER YOU ARE LEGENDS ALREADY

Even though people criticize the USA flight crew union, I am so happy to be a unionized flight attendant; union contracts protect our rights. Gulf carriers are good, but the working schedule can be crazy.

@farzana66762 жыл бұрын
@@onelove718 Not really. You can apply for Middle Eastern carriers. They always look for foreign staff. In America, most attendants are American.

Nathalie you are one of the most beautiful cabin crew ever. Stefano you are so good looking. I wish you both the best of future. You could both do modelling on the side possibly as a part time gig. Sending lots of positive light your way !❤❤

Hope viewers know it is not that easy just to think where to move. It doesn't work that way. Visas can be difficult including Indonesia and Mexico. There is a lot of loopholes need to take care of in order for a foreigner to stay abroad without a legal job. I just hope viewers understand. The video doesn't show any of this.

Believe in JESUS today, confess and repent of your sins. No one goes to heaven for doing good but by believing in JESUS who died for our sins. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.(John 3:16)❤️😎❤️😎❤️😎❤️😎❤️

😅 I’m Mexican and what I want most is go to live in Dubai, you don’t know what I’d give to meet someone in Dubai and see my future children grow up in a safe country with better opportunities. Right now I’m booking my first trip to Dubai and I hope someday can stay to live there. I wish that your stay in Mexico be the best and really enjoy it! Is not a bad place to live and surely you’ll be very well received.
