Parts of Patagonia are going to remind you quite a lot of Joeseph and the Eagle Caps.

Why a 70 series land cruiser? Where did you find one in the USA? I’m looking forward to a walk around video.
@gdayjambo2 жыл бұрын
We are currently working on a tour video, so stay tuned! We specifically wanted a 75 series because they are fully mechanical with zero computers. Because of that, we knew Cody could learn to work on it fairly easily. He actually rebuilt the engine last year. There are plenty of people importing 70 series to the US and there is a Facebook groom for American 70 series owners.

Congrats on the transition from dreamer to doer. Looking forward to watching the adventure unfold. And if you aren't aware of Costa Rica and rhd restrictions, you may want to alter your plans for that 😁

Thanks!! We have heard a few times that Costa Rica would be an issue with RHD. Did you have issues there when you drove the pan American?
@fromtheroad30812 жыл бұрын
@@gdayjambo I decided to bail on central America as the only shipping out is panama or Veracruz Mexico. Veracruz was cheaper and I was more interested in south America anyways.

Gotcha. I remember that LiveWorkWander bought an LHD cruiser special because of Coasta Rica and that was the first time I had heard of the situation. From the reading we have done over the last few years though, the few posts we have seen where people were having issues were about four years old and it seemed to be dependent on who was working the border that day. I feel like Graeme Bell didn’t have any issues in his Defender, but I’ll have to double check that. Are you planning any more big trips?

@@gdayjambo yeah never know til you try. I will probably be setting off for my next open ended trip beginning 2024. Not sure what countries or routes yet though.

Spending extended periods of time with my girlfriend overlanding for long hauls sounds like an awful time 🤣
