I think it would be great for cutting a 12x12 sheet diagonally from corner to corner. Thanks for the demo.

I am a scrapbooker and am constantly trying to figure out the center of my projects. And I would also love it for card making and I would love the center zero also I'm a quilter and it would work for me on those projects. Thank you for your demo!!

They should've put a metal edge on both sides AND those guides that slide off should have the pointers on both sides so that they're pointing to both inches and centimeters at the same time. It's still cool, though. I definitely want one!

I have a very easy method for converting centimeters to inches: multiply by 2, divide by five: 12 cm to ins. 12 x 2 =. 24. 24 /5 = 4.8 ins. 20 cm to ins. 20 x 2 = 40. 40/5 = 8 ins.
@violetpaintcan54927 жыл бұрын
You can multiply inches by 2.54 to get centimeters, or you can type "convert centimeters inches" into google.com, and a conversion tool will pop up. The ruler looks great. If I need to mark a spot on a ruler, I use an arrow drawn on a piece of post-it tape (and since it can be repositioned, I tend to use the same piece of tape for ages). The built-in arrows on this ruler would probably eliminate the need for tape. The grip looks useful, too. The price is too high, though, so I'll wait for a sale.
@8shaqu144 жыл бұрын
Or you can just divide the 12cm to 2.54 = 4.72" Or for me i like to estimate it by dividing the cm into half: 12 ➗ 2 = 6, from and I have a rough draft of how much is it in inches, by considering it will be smaller than 6, so i'll be considering it will be around 5" atleast... or the easiest if you have cellphone w/ internet, just ask the internet or google or alike...

I really like this ruler. I primarily make cards and scrapbook, so it would be very handy! Mostly, I like the size of it -I have "man hands"-big hands, long fingers! It is so hard for me to use little, tiny, thin rulers! They drive me nuts. Thanks for sharing your opinion, Maymay!

I think I am liking this ruler Maymay and I would definitely use it to cut vinyl to fit on my Cricut mat. I would also use it for cutting fabric when needed. I'm sure I would find more use for it as well. Thanks for the review! Happy weekend!!

I have never seen this ruler before! Your review was excellent. I have bulk rolls of lightweight kraft paper that I use for wrapping gifts (the holidays are approaching), and I can never cut a straight line. This ruler would be perfect for cutting or tearing this paper or other gift wrap paper! Oh, and, of course for crafting. I agree with the other comments about the metal cutting edge, etc. Thank you so much for your review.

Thank you for reviewing this ruler. Have not seen this before. And you are correct, millimeters is the smaller measurement down from centimeters. This would be great for 12 inch vinyl and for cutting up my large magnet sheets that I use for my dies. Would also be great as a straight edge for mounting vinyl in a straight line. TFS

Great review! Thank you. I have seen this before & the 2 positives about it for me are the handle & the moveable markers. I think they are great. I could see this used for scrapbooking. Tend to use 12 x 12" papers & this would work very well. I currently use a quilting ruler but my fingers sometimes cramp from pressing down so tightly to my chipboard. May have to add this to my "wish" list!

Hi Maymay, I love the supreme ruler. I would definitely use it to cut out a card base of any size. would use it to cut out large pieces of card board. for cutting gift per wrap. there are endless ways. but the most important to me is to be able to measure exactly to the right measurement meaning not crooked, so that I can cut things straight. That's the problem have, cutting straight. So I feel those for me personally are legible reasons have it. It also has a good grip too. Thanks for the enabling😀

Thank you for this review! I've been curious about this ruler, especially WRMK's non-slip claim. I agree with you that the cutting edge would be nice on both sides. But I did notice, with it on the centimeter side, that it obscures the see-through aspect at the very edge of the ruler, especially the millimeter markings. I also wish they had included 1/16" markings, though I know you can probably eyeball that between the 1/8" lines. I currently use an 18" long quilting ruler for much of my measuring (which does have 1/16" marks), and a cork-backed (non-slip) metal ruler if I have to cut something with my craft knife. I also have the Tim Holtz ruler you showed for centering things. I know this ruler could probably do triple-duty for me & replace my current stash then, but since I already have what I have (& they're paid for!), I think I'll pass on this ruler. Thanks so much for helping me decide--and save some $$$! :)

10 miliimetres per centimetre is correct. The measuring unit of my country is centimetres, but most of videos with instructions for papercrafting uses inches . Such a ruler would therefore be very handy in my case. Fortunately I have a W&M trim and score board with inches etc at the top. I agree that an 18 inch rules would be a little uncomfortable to use.

I can see why people are annoyed that the metal edge is only on the cm side but here in the UK we do use the cm and not inches so it’s usually frustrating to watch all videos where everything is measured in inches! Cards, boxes everything unless you watch a U.K. based video! So yes both sides would be good but then I’d like all videos in cm as well as inches so you can’t please all the people ....... Even our paper and card is a different size! So yes frustrating from both sides of the pond!
