Finally a Mod where the Marines are actually kicking ass and can hold their own in a fight! I always felt like the Valhalla CE marines were punching bags.

On easy they almost kick more butt than the chief does. On normal they struggle but can still kill most simple groups of enemies. On Heroic they need alot of help from at least a decent player or they'll probably all die. On Legendary they're water balloons thrown into a meat grinder. Back in the day I played the demo at a youth center place that was the Silent Cartographer level. Hitting the beach at the start is the best demonstrator of the difference in difficulties. On Easy they ripped through the enemies faster than I could go up the beach. On Normal a few died but excepting a lucky grenade throw they could handle themselves. On Heroic they got about halfway up the beach then died. On Legendary they never left the initial beachhead, no pun intended. They landed and died.

they ain't invincible, Marines have small shields but once they pop they receive damage as normal. they did get a health buff tho

Looking at intro... Fire on PoA is burning on outside, which suggests large amount of atmosphere are leaking. Better would be if hull would glow than fire show up. Red-black glow from hull would indicate recent damage.

@@thepurenewb1584 It was in slipspace, though, and time is wonky there. Like how Covenant slipspace travel seems to be real-time but UNSC slipspace travel is far longer in slipspace than it is in real space. This is why they have to use cryostasis on UNSC ships as for them it is ten days in slipspace for ever lightyear of real space traveled. How much time it takes in real space for them to travel a lightyear is never given and up to very creative interpretation. It can't be too big a difference from the Covenant, though, or else the war would be outright impossible to fight. If I remember correctly, Covenant slipspace drives cover more than nine hundred lightyears either per day or per hour, can't remember which. Correction, apparently that was retconned and very much for the worse. UNSC ships now cover about 2.6 lightyears per day and Covenant ships go up to a little more than 1,300 light years per day. Ugh, 343i, stop being stupid.

It's amazing how much less ammo the assault rifle uses when it isn't so inaccurate that the reticule is far smaller than the actual spread and, if you fire one bullet at a time in the base game, you'll see that each bullet's trajectory is random whether you fire one at a time, bursts, or hold the trigger down.

how do they get the marines to be so aggesive and fire more and in longer bursts? Like normal marines fire like 2 bullets before they stop and it's so annoying. i've always tried to figure this out in assembly mods but I could never find it. Anyone have any answers?

Maybe they're basing their behavior on the hostile Marine ai when you betray them? They do seem to get more effective and aggressive when they're in that state.

Try this: Step #1 Download the Massive Mod from the Steam Workshop. Step #2 When its done look for the mod's files in the Workshop folder in steamapps:(C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\976730\2923858131\maps) copy the map files from this folder. Step #3 Then go to this one: (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps) Paste the mod's map files on top of the Vanilla CE ones if you want to permanently replace them or save the originals for later. Step#4 You should be good to go, now you can play the mod with Anniversary graphics. Just be careful to not remove the mod from the steam workshop or you'll lose the map files until you download it again. Step#5 profit?

You have to replace the vanilla map files with the modded ones for remastered graphics to work

Mmmm I think tbe mod has not been updated then by the author. Thats usually what happens to old mods when MCC gets an update they appear in the menus but get stuck loading indefinitely. Have you tried replacing the maps of the mod manually instead?

@@colt8947 you must place the modded map files into the h1 map folder and select the vanilla campaign on the campaign menu and not the modded ones. for some reason mods loaded through steam workshop which can load new graphics dont accept said anniversary graphics unless you place them in the place of vanilla halo CE's and switch with the controller/keyboard manually.

Dude, at least CEA had actual Halo assets on it , compared to whatever Bionicle/Power Ranger shit they pulled on H4/H5.... One thing that is undeniable is that they fucked the lighting pretty bad on the remaster. 343 Guilty Spark went from being spooky as hell to giving me eye strain....
