With all of Kevin's helpful hand signals, I'm surprised you didn't end up assembling it into a pump jack or a launch tower instead of a dozer blade! The humor mixed with genuine skill and friendship makes for a great combination. Your team obviously knows what you're doing, and it shows in each episode. Much appreciated!

Well, you guys certainly had a few set backs to perform a "simple task" like re-fitting the blade. It made for good viewing seeing you fix the problems that cropped up along the way and made me realise (again) how much I miss working on gear like D8s, as I did back in the 80's when I was an apprentice diesel mechanic. I am now looking forward to (again) seeing Kevin work his magic on the colour and being wowed by a great looking, freshly painted D8K. Roll on for part 3 of this great story.

Another fine mess Clint got Kevin into. The comedic banter between them is definitely part of what keeps us subs waiting for the next episode. Like 60's & 70's kids waiting for the Saturday morning Bugs Bunny Comedy Hour.

It's likely that most folks who find this particular trade fascinating don't actually work on heavy equipment. However, we appreciate the C&C videos because they bring us into the shop in a familial sort of way while being, at the time , educational. Shop levity also adds balance to the whole package.

I understand what you are saying here--it is hard/dirt work. I worked for a heavy construction/landfill company for 25 years before I was lucky enough to retire.did just about every job in the company-did the shop tour for five years. My Son currently has his own H/E shop-with service trucks that keeps him busy. He worked for CAT about 10 years before going out on his own.I understand these video's--These guys rock! You know-in this world of computer-land jobs--someone still has to fix/make/fabricate things so stuff gets done. Can't just sit at a keyboard...

Also thank you for what you have done to help the Captain out, as an ex IH and later in life a Cat field engineer really wished I had your tools available back then, but it was still fun times, that was way before mobile phones were thought of. I was amazed how you covered the stack when hauling that D8 home to prevent the draft spinning the turbo.
