27:52 Yesss indeed! The 5 core set skills are "symmetrical" design-wise! Vicious blow, deduction, fearless, survival instinct and opportunist - they all have their level 2 versions, with "almost double" the effects.

Nemesis is a great late-campaign purchase for certain campaigns. On my most Grizzled run, picked it up on the way into Depths of Yoth, and let me tell you, Yig was absolutely bamboozled, the oversized ghoul. (And it was quite helpful in Boundary Beyond as well, of course.)

Idea for a Bryan's Madhouse deck: Wendy Adams in MINE Crystalizer of dreams, backpack, and Katya Eastbank to keep pulling cards out of your deck but not putting anything in your discard pile until you become abandoned and alone

Think I underrated Unexpected Courage(2) since I thought of it as "Oh if I fail, I just get it back so might as well have +2". But, it's more of Survivors using their stats of 2-3 to try to land in the "Fail by 2 or less" sweet-spot for those cards. Then you get the card back so you can do that for another card with a fail by 2 effect or something similar. In that regard, UC(2) seems great. But outside of that, I see why it's ranked lower than most of the other skills.

Long Shot is coming for that #1 spot lol. Doesn't give you icons, but can be used with a weapon. Agree through, Brute Force is amazing.

I recently tried Predestined in a Carson Sinclair blessing deck, and in the whole campaign (Dunwich), I added 2 Bless Tokens to the bag with it (and I think I once removed 2 curses because there were no bless tokens left). Extremely underwhelming, and I did not even expect much from it. I am sure it could be alright in Stella or something, but even there it just feels not worth it for me.

Cards like Grizzled overwhelm me. Even if I've played a campaign multiple times I still don't know what traits I might see in the mythos deck. I would love to hear you talk about common traits in each campaign or what it appears like thematically so we can predict them ourselves. Hazard is the only one I can talk about. They usually show up when you're exploring dangerous places where the environment might hurt you. This explaination makes me think Edge of the Earth or the Forgotten Age. How would you explain Omen for example? How do the thematically hurt you and when should you name them?

It's interesting that Brute Force is stronger than Sharp Vision, but typically cluing is stronger than fighting. 3 damage > 2 clues. 2 damage < 2 clues. Is 2.5 damage = 2 clues?
