The aim of the campaign was to bring Mr. Peanut to a more contemporary audience and he can now talk - they wanted him to be less of a capitalism oldie to a more modern vibe. I have 2 stupid things about this topic. 1) I knew the person who was the Land O' Lakes Native American girl on the box. She was Ojibwa and her dad used a picture of her in traditional clothing standing in front of a field. They changed it to her kneeling so that it fit on the box. 2) We used to tell our kids that Chuck E.Cheese was closed or about to close in order to not take them. I've never had a container of Morton's salt where that chute actually worked the way it's supposed to. The salt always pours out of the sides (at the beginning of the chute) while also pouring down the chute, so it gets everywhere. I learned early on to only pour it over the sink because there's always going to be extra coming out, and it can ruin your food if you try to pour it directly on.

some people get the morton salt girl tattooed bc she’s also a logo/merch design for a band! Jawbreaker uses her image w the line “when it pains it roars” they also tried to release a 7” with her on the cover but Morton wouldn’t let them

very happy to see jarvis here!!!!! so in japan most products have mascots so when i moved to america i didnt get attached to any other food mascots. the only mascot i care about is Peko Chan of Milky candy
