Fishing is a safe way to get a lot of useful items but incredibly grindy when you spend several hours on it each world over a hundred times

Use frostburn arrows instead of flaming arrows. They are extremely simple to make and only take 1 extra step of getting ice blocks. Make torches to ice torches and you can then make them. It does double to DOT as flame arrows. Find the shimmer(outter 1/3 of the world in the underground), put hearts in there to get extra passive regen. There are 6? passive upgrade you can do 3/4 are available in prehardmode. Definitely worth rushing to get there. Crimson armor is good too as it also buffs passive regen. Good way to do that is start brain of cthulu fight kill eyes grab the materials then get out of dodge(it will despawn if everyone is far enough away). Campfire+honey+heart statues + bast statues should be in every boss fight you do. Dip into honey every 30 seconds to increase regen greatly. Beenades can do some work if you can manage to kill queen bee for later phases. Most consistent way I've found to kill the wall of flesh on master mode.

34:44 a little tip on blood moons, if you put a platform on the inside of a door (kinda like blocking off the door normally but with platforms) then it makes blood moon enemies unable to open the door, as they can only push the door open, not pull the door open. players and npcs can still walk through normally though.

Here's a little something I learned from beating Hardcore myself. Once you beat skeletron and get the mechanic, get everyone a mechanical lens. It lets you see the wiring on traps and it's real noticable.

That horrible, beautiful house reminds me of Etoiles's base in Purgatory 2 of the QSMP (Minecraft server). Every team had to build a base to hide and protect an NPC from other enemy teams and Etoiles, a team leader, suggested that his team place blocks everywhere in the most nonsensical way to confuse any attackers. If you forget where your NPC is hidden, nobody will find it either after all!

I have some advice that may be really bad, fishing. Fishing is a safe way to gain life hearts because fishing can give crates which can give hearts

Very time consuming. You have to fish a lot of gold crates (that are really rare), which don't even guarantee hearts. Not to mention, getting fishing power early game is pretty hard, harder than just gearing up by exploring caves

We had just entered hardmode after killing wall of flesh, had been there for maybe thirty minutes, and he jumped down our hellevator with no horseshoe, thinking our hellevator was all decked out with ropes (no. we didn't bother with that.) and he didn't place torches or anything on the way down to realize he was falling. I still grieve that run. I still annoy him for it and it's been several weeks and we're on a way better run currently.

As a person who has spent well over 300 hours into master hardcore, I salute your willpower to try hardcore co-op. I'd never beat the frustration of starting over and over because of something that is not your fault. Anyway, my tips for you are to not rush things, avoid enemies before having good gear, and always being mindful of traps in caves - they're everywhere, they're hidden well and they're deadly. Fishing helps a ton early game, since crates contain very useful potions like dangersense, hunter and spelunker.

I once decided to beat in hardcore expert with one character. And my 4th attempt was just something crazy. I almost died like 50 times in total, sometimes having only 3 hp left. But when I reached hardmode, and accidentally got a rod of discord immediately after going into underground hallow. I was so excited... That I didn't even notice explosion trap. And after spending 20 hours in one character, getting rod of discord and dying like that I was just staring in the screen like 5 minutes. You should definitely try hardcore, it's something else

I’ve been trying this challenge with one of my friends for a little while now. On attempt 29, we made it to wall of flesh, and had finished our entire bridge for the fight. Before the fight we wanted to upgrade our specter boots into lightning boots, so we were in the jungle trying to find anklets. We came across a gold chest, and I quickly stopped my friend from opening it, as I noticed that it was a dead man’s chest. So he and I clear out the area of all the traps so we can open it, and when he goes to open it, it still exploded because of a glitched explosive. We are now on attempt 34…

Stage Four is what I affectionately refer to as: "The Naked Mole Rat Strategy" For those unaware of how The Naked Mole Rat defends itself when it's in it's little tunnel homes that they live in, the mole rat and it's family will, say if a snake or some other predator enters their domain, all of the molerats cluster into a tight opening in their tunnels with all their freakish lip teeth facing towards the threat. This is your team. You are The Mole Rat Brothers now, clustering your fragile and naked bodies around each other against all of this reckless hate.
