Well, season 3 is a couple of years ahead of us because the manga still has not finish the current arc. Granted, it's only a couple of chapters each years. But we are finally diving into the deepest part of the abyss, that even white whistle don't know much about.

The great strength of this season is dumping so much on you, out of order, in what seems incomprehensible and hard to understand. Then rebuilding the puzzle piece by piece and finally everything comes together by the final episode. I think Re: Zero is another show that does this kind of storytelling well.
