That's how you know these videos are real...Not every guitar is for everyone... they all have their own voices and we try to show that aspect of them... I think it's cool that everyones ears are different.. What would SRV sound like on a Les Paul?? Probably NOT like SRV :)

Phil ! You are an amazing singer. With quite a range. But David Lee had the voice too. You reaching his high notes puts his singing into perspective for all those David Lee-haters out there...He was also quite the singer...

Hi Phil, so you're Greek? I lived for quite a while in Athens, Greece. Now I understand your behaviour better. Greeks love to have fun and they're fun to be with. Only during siesta Athens was quiet, other than that music was everywhere. Greeks were up all night enjoying themselves in clubs and restaurants. I'm over 50, that's why I enjoy your style. You're young, but you play like my guitar heroes from '70s & '80s. You even hardly use your pinkie, just like some of them
@Geogogeogo112 жыл бұрын
Guys! Stop fighting over some mic, i thought the main reason why they are putting videos here is to show us some great guitars (which we cant afford :D). Phil's (EPIC) singing is just a great energy boost. But come on, its Phil X, you can still hear him, even if he doesnt wear a mic. Btw, you rock really hard! (I think im going to play some La Grange now.)

hey man, i just saw this. i don't think the problem is the ash. it's the maple neck. to me, maple makes a P90 sound a little thin and brittle. i'd go with a tele type pickup. Arcane makes some AMAZING tele pickups.

Yeah, the mic was a bit low because of your vest but in reality a bit of Normalization on your audio track would resolve that but you need to record the audio tracks separately. But it's honestly not a big deal.

It isn't that one expects TV studio quality sound. Hell, your older videos sound ten times better than this one. It's all about the disparity in levels. When you speak it sounds like a mumble. Then when the guit starts it's "Volume Alert!" time. Okay, I hear ya on the Britney mic. Then just use your favorite mic on a stand and put your face in it. Run two tracks - voc/guit - then mix 'em down later. Sound quality goes way up. The world is a better place. Much respect. I'm a huge fan. You rawk!

@gazzie12000 Жыл бұрын
No, the other way round. The Billy Bo is based on Bo Diddley's Gretsch Jupiter. Bo Diddley's original Jupiter (exact same shape as the Billy Bo) was from 1959, 4 years before the Thunderbird was made !

Can u play some other zz top songs like goin down to Mexico, heard it on the x, blue jean blues, or brown sugar?
@rexterrocks12 жыл бұрын
I always wanted one of these. I remember seeing pics of Bo Diddley playing one obviously but I have a feeling I saw a pic of Muddy Waters wearing a robe playing one. I don't know if I imagined it. I like its sound but I love its look. Lady Bo used to play a weird shaped guitar that I thought was a Gretch. It looked great anyway.
