I love the love and support in their relationship 🥺 gabe is the most supportive of Jess’ love for Australia and Jess is the most supportive of his journey with depression. They are such good examples for relationships:)

And because of the electricity usage! If it’a good weather (usually is) then we save electricity costs and environmental usage by hanging it. In my opinion, my clothes don’t dry like cardboard - maybe that’s a detergent issue

I live in Sydney, Australia and have always had a clothes dryer in the different apartments and houses that I have lived in. During winter time when it is cold and rainy weather for weeks there is no way I could cope without having a clothes dryer. Your new Aussie home looks great. Thanks for the tour. I love how you are decorating it, well done getting so many bargains!

There are so many benefits of hang drying your washing. - it’s great for your electricity bill - we mainly always have nice weather so you get to work on your tan - you get to go outside - won’t cause a fire and burn your house down - my dog hangs out with me more Anyways congrats on your aussie apartment! It’s already so cute. Can’t wait to see more Aussie vlogs!

Yay! Huge congratulations on this beautiful apartment 🥰❤ On Gabe's question about tumble dryers, Australia is very similar to South Africa in this sense. Hang drying for the win - tumble drying is very energy intensive so chows your electricity bill and isn't eco friendly. Hang drying is also more gentle on your clothes so they last longer 🌻✨

I love watching Jess and Gabe vlogs. Something so comforting. Little did we know though that they was pregnant at this point - but ALSO now rewatching this video (cause I'm that sad I just rewatch all there old videos....) when they are explaining stuff like why they are renting the apartment or they have a spare bedroom with nothing in it, you can just see the little smiles as if to say... well we know why but you guys don't...yet!
@erinloi3 жыл бұрын
And because of the electricity usage! If it’s good weather (usually is) then we save electricity costs and environmental usage by hanging it. Doesn’t usually take long if you hang in the morning and busy during the day, the afternoon they should be dry especially if hung outside in sun or even under shade. In my opinion, my clothes don’t dry like cardboard - maybe that’s a detergent issue. Also a lot of things shrink in the dryer and isn’t so gentle of fabrics for longevity. :)

To dry things naturally its best to put washing on before bed and hang it up before 9am. In winter you want to hang it up before 8am in the sun and take it off before 3.30 to 4pm.

I’m an Australian born and raised in Adelaide and we don’t use a dryer unless it is raining outside because it is expensive to use a dryer all the time and not as energy efficient. I don’t own a dryer in my apartment…washing machine and a clothes airer and we are good to go!
@brittrux3 жыл бұрын
We usually only use a dryer if it’s raining. And usually in summer it’s hot enough that it dries super quick. Saves on the power bill aswell.

The dryer thing I also was confused when I moved from Canada to aus but it's because technically the dryer can mess up the fibers etc in your clothes and most places in aus, it's warm enough to hang your clothes outside (+save money)

@AnitanAlice3 жыл бұрын
Aussie here! I have a dryer but I don't use it cause it's expensive to run. Outside is...free! And more environmentally friendly too. Every place I've lived in has had an outdoor space with an undercover spot if the weather's bad. If the weather is really horrible, like torrential rain/winds, I just let my clothes drip dry and then let them finish drying inside.
@Holly-cd8ll3 жыл бұрын
We only use the dryer for towels & bed linen usually! The dryer uses a lot of power/energy and the cost of electricity in aus is crazy! Also the line dry just keeps everything fresh and natural ❤️❤️

Our sun is harsh enough to dry clothes and etc within an hour, also energy bills are extremely expensive here unless you have solar paneling. We keep a dryer for emergencies, when it rains.
