Spoilers unless you seen whole series I don't wanna jinx it, but It I hope Ruby puts two and two together on why Neo's going after her and tries to reason with her(even though Neo's a mute) as well as two either put aside their difference or at least form a temporary until they find a way back and stop Cinder. Beside, since Cinder betrayed her, both Neo and Ruby now share a common foe meaning there's a 50-50 chance of them working together

Weiss being tired makes sense since technically none of them have really slept for 2 or 3 days not only that but Weiss's aura was broken before she fell

Her Aura broke *and then she started dueling Cinder, dual-wielding (not her main fighting style),* to buy time for Jaune and Penny. Yeah, I'm surprised she's conscious lol

- Neo really goes as hard as she can in making sure Ruby's last moments are as hurtful as possible. - Rocking Horsefly. Were the creatures here created by Yang? - Small detail that made me laugh is the wuewuewue bird sound in the background. (4:32) - I've only had Little for one episode, but if anything happened to them I would kill everyone in the writers room and then myself. - Order of falling: Yang, Neo, Ruby+Blake, Weiss, Jaune. YNRBWJ, You're Never Really Bleeding When Jousting. - I live for Weiss cheering on Blake. - The Jabberwalker is really cool, and somehow even more terrifying than the Hound. - The people asked for Bumbleby crumbs, and CRWBY threw a whole slice with the tackle hug. - Really digging the new intro, visually I think it's my favorite. Also sounds like RWBY music is gonna be still as good even with Jeff gone, Casey and Martin did great with that song. - The extra girl in the intro is probably The Girl Who Fell Through The World (fairy tale Oscar spoke of to Ozpin when imprisoned in V8), whose name is revealed to be Alyx in the Roman Holiday novel.

I have to admit. This is a pretty good start for R.W.B.Y volume 9, but let's not forget, the only way to see how good this will be is to wait for the rest of the episodes. Great video by the way. Also I like how they used the teaser music before the Opening appeared.

If you don't know who fell first, from Season 8, let me explain: Yang fell first, then Neo, then Ruby & Blake, Weiss, and finally Jaune. That's six people, among many, that fell to the Ever After.

Dozens of civilians fell first. Then the central characters as you mentioned, starting with Yang. I believe when asked about the fate of the civilians, CRWBY said they were dead.

Yes,,, Sadly without an active Aura shield, the civilians we're likely killed by Cinder's fire blast explosion before they fell.

They did elegantly ignore the civilians. If they didn't there would still have been a lot of people left in both Atlas and Mantle when the portals closed and Atlas fell (if they survived the Grimm). It would've been impossible to evacuate the entire population of both cities in such small amount of time.

So far at least, I think it's safe to say we probably won't be seeing much of winter, emerald, oscar, ren, or anybody else this volume - or at least for right now. I do think this episode was kind of fast paced but I'm still interested in what this volume will be like

Interesting pace for the first episode, I really wasn't expecting everyone to reunite in the first episode. Especially since Yang fell first, I thought she'd not only be the last to join the team again, but that it would also take at least one-two episodes to find her. But I'm okay with this. This place they're in is very bizarre, so I wouldn't doubt that some wacky stuff is going on. I read someone theorise that the reason everyone wound up finding each other quickly is because of their determination to find one another, so the world responded to them (since the world can also prevent them from going further, as was shown when Ruby looped the same distance over and over, it doesn't even sound ridiculous). With Yang being the last to show up, because she thought she was alone / dead and therefore wasn't searching for the others. I'm really excited for the setting in this volume, it looks very fun and abstract.

Usually the reaction guidelines for this show is you can react to it but they want you to wait a week after the episode airs to post. I think that’s still the case now. But I’d have to look again. Rocking Horse Fly. Alice in Wonderland indeed. Fun fact: Little is voiced by the same woman who voices Uraraka in MHA. They’re tired because they literally were all just fighting for their lives after getting barely any rest for a couple days. The fact that Yang thought she was actually in some sort of afterlife after having died protecting her sister and then she sees her team there and is not happy because then that means she didn’t save them and they died anyway. Like, okay, yeah CRWBY just drop that whole load of depression on us. And then there’s the fact that Ruby just walks over and is like “of course we’d come after you, did you forget who raised me?” and it’s totally pointing out that Yang was the parent for a lot of Ruby’s childhood because Summer died in battle (Hound) and Tai shut down and of course if it had been Ruby who went down first Yang wouldn’t have hesitated to go after her!

You just sum'd up the entire roosterteeth problem and gave a good and honest opinion on it in mere seconds. Why can't many others do that? They are hating on the show because of what happens behind the scenes? Ofc thats a big problem but there a different ways to deal with this or at least to formulate it in reviews. Don' just blame the show for what is happening in real life tf?

@@VladGrim What I mean is that I have seen reviews on rwby where they call it a bad show because of what is happening in the background. I emphasize with the workers that are being treated poorly but you can't judge a series in an objective way because of that. Supporting RT is a totally different story. But people not aware of all this, looking at reviews shouldn't be told to not watch the already existing volumes because they're "bad"

Not a fan over a year long wait for the show to be available off Crunchy Roll, but it is what it is. Vol 9 has a lot to cover and make up for after vol 8... I just don't see how a lot of meaningful progress can be made here but I guess we'll see. as for the new girl in the intro...getting a lot of Dorthy from Wizard of Oz vibes but no idea if it's right, also reminds me of when Oz and Oscar talked aboutthe story of "the girl who feel through the world." maybe this is the individual the story is based on. all guesses though.

Honestly this volume isn’t off to a great start imo. We probably won’t get anything about the characters still in remnant if the opening is any indication and I honestly don’t care about Neo at all so them making her a huge thing 9 volumes in kinda irritates me. It seems like this volume is going to be just a bunch of dinking around, and I’m someone who will wholeheartedly defend volumes 4 and 5
