Just FYI for the PS3 hard drive, about 1tb is the best way to go, you'll also want a reputable branded hard drive too, the cheaper ones just won't cut it. The problem comes in at about 1.5tb or higher, the PS3 just doesn't seem to like anything over 1tb and starts to have some problems at that 1.5tb range. This is unfortunate for some of us (especially with the inevitably of the stores closing, server shut downs, etc), that have extremely large digital libraries. I have more than 1.5tb worth of games digitally for the PS3, and it doesn't support external drives. So ultimately some games will have to be left behind. And of course eventually those mechanical drives will fail and eventually we just won't have access to your digital games some day. That sucks, because in all honesty, digital is the format that SHOULD be available forever, but when money to be lost or gained is involved, those will make the decisions on how long we have access and availability to our digital titles. Oh well.

I disagree. Most Harddrives you can buy these days are crap and "SMR", which the PS3 might not take well and not really good. And SSDs aren't that much more expensive. A good one with DRAM Cache is around 90€ or so (Crucial MX500, WD Blue) As for 2TB in the PS3: It outright says that the Drive size isn't supported (on my Super Slim)

This is why emulation is important, i also hacked my ps3 to run back ups and roms. I dont usually agree with emulation for current gen but usually in this case with older systems its necessary.

Definitely go the SSD route. Stick with drives that have a 5 year warranty as their reliability is much higher

@@Stefan_Payne no point in buying a high end ssd for a ps3, the dram cache will get you nothing when the bus speed is the limiting factor. Just get the dirt cheapest ssd and it will be more than the ps3 can handle.

Problem with Metal Jesus is that he does not play his games past the first level. He only plays them long enough to capture so footage for his YT videos. Reggie seems like a true gamer though. You can tell he really plays though the games in his collection.
