@@billschlafly4107 yeah that much I could tell honestly. Joe is the work horse of game sack. It would be cool if he did occasional co hosts or something like that. I could imagine working with someone who probably has a much different schedule can be a pain in the butt as well as location issue. It’s probably easier just to do it by himself considering he’s doing everything else by himself most likely.

Snatcher was the first game of its kind that I remember playing, thanks to a friend who loaned it to me. It's a great story, loaded with references to all kinds of SciFi and pop culture stuff, and it's just fun to play through. However, without The Justifier the shooting parts can be a little difficult, and can take a few tries if you're forced to use the controller like I was. Man, did I die A LOT playing thought that the first time or what?!?!? I love the compilation episodes. Thanks for all the great memories!

@@mbe102 Everybody misses Dave, but he left on his own. It would be up to him if he wanted to return. Part of his reason for leaving is that he felt his heart wasn't in it as much, and he didn't want the show to suffer for that... Also he wanted to spend more time with his family. All that said, personally I'm getting tired of every other comment saying they miss Dave... We know. Thankfully Joe takes it in stride, and has kept the channel going strong. I'd much rather have Joe going it alone than no Game Sack at all.

Lol I'm pretty consistently having these on lately when I'm about to sleep. They even kinda force their way into that role because when I let videos go on auto it often ends up here or the gaming historian and I guess as I don't turn them off KZbin think I love watching the same ones again and again rather than selecting something I haven't seen yet. But yeah it doesn't matter that much because of the half or full sleep I'm in while they're on so i probably didn't pay attention to all of it and might see some stuff I completely missed before. However I might start to queue up a few videos instead of relying on autoplay to get stuff I haven't been bombarded with in recent memory to mix things up a bit. Still alot of game sack videos though, just fresh ones, as I easily find many youtubers annoying so it's distracting me from my peaceful snoozing but as of yet I haven't found anything to be bothered by with these. Speaking of, I'm going to sleep now!

1:27 Space Hulk was a conversion of a Warhammer 40k board game, so you can imagine how much the first person added to the atmosphere. And to a certain extent, how much the strategy of the board game added to the first person shooter in the era of Doom. It's basically about finding choke points you can use to prevent yourself and your brother marines from being overwhelmed by the horde. Genestealers are deadly in close combat so ideally you want to kill them before they ever get near you. But it is, at least, not a *guaranteed* instant death if they ge into close combat. At heart, it's a strategy game that LOOKS like a first person shooter

The 1st 2nd controller released for the PS was the Dual analog controller! The 2 sticks were just plastic with dips/grooves in the top. Didnt have the rubber grips on there. They couldn't do the dualshock cause Nintendo had the copyright for the rumble pack. I got one the night SF ex plus alpha cane out. We needed a 2nd controller and that was the only one they had. We had traded enough stuff in to get both. The lil light when sticks were active had a green and red setting. What a life time ago!😮🤯

I'd originally thought the PlayStation buttons were based on the number of lines - One line in ⭕, 2 in ❌, 3 in 🔺 and 4 in 🟥. Button order made sense being right-to-left, as Sony is a Japanese company like Nintendo and that's how they write. Sony's reasoning for the symbols seems so obscure. "How do you jump?"... "Hit the Document button, obviously!"

Thunderhawk 2, Assault Rigs, Colony Wars, Driver, 1,2. Krazy Ivan. Quake II near perfect on PS1! Blast Radius, Shellshock, Black Dawn, Tunnel B1, Disruptor, etc, etc. None were mentioned, all were incredible games.

Does anyone have a link to Game Sack's review of the Nintendo DS? I am pretty sure I have seen it and I can't find the video on their youtube list. Thanks.

I did the exact same thing with total eclipse turbo, it was out on store shelves like a week or more early and I must have burned a hole in the back of the box staring at it and dreaming about the 32bits awaiting. Lol thanks guys I had completely forgot about it
