This looks amazing! Even though I'm not into those types of games, you're making me like it. I'll for sure play it! Also, you were my inspiration for starting to make open source modules and start teaching others!

Could you please do a video dedicated to how you did your AI i’m making a zombie game and the cap is 75 but I cannot figure out how to optimize the AI and even though you explained it very well i’m not sure how to implement it

Hello 👋 Do you have a link of that Commander did you use?
@FWS_Sinister7 ай бұрын
hell yea man i was thinking of doing this myself, but gave up since i couldnt fix the issue of enemy npc's constantly lagging behind players and never catching up when the player is moving, no matter their walkspeed
@ppof30154 ай бұрын
Hey I assume you’re using single script architecture for your game. How are you able to use that and also use parallel luau for enemies? Trying to optimize my game further.

Hello i am no developper but i think switching the 3d spikes of the cacti to a surface appearence would improve preformence a little bit since textures are usually more performent than 3d models (correct me if i'm wrong please) and can you please make a tutorial on the microprofiler ?
@artem-kt2gh6 ай бұрын
he explained the microprofiler in multithreading/parallel luau video, and yes textures are generally more performant than 3d models, but that cactus model is real low poly so its already really performant since there is only like 300 vertices if i had to guess, which might even be better than a pbr texture

No seriously, please. You have so many cool videos, but it's hard to find these devlogs hidden amongst them.

Hey, you should make a video on the genius of the Parallel Scheduler open source module, "Parallel lua made easy and performant" its incredible

i have a question, what is the correct format for coding something. like if i want to make something how should i go about doing that. i think this is whats holding me back from being where i think i could be at. i would have a really cool idea but then have no idea how to start. love your content keep it up!❤

how long have you been doing this? like when did you start learning luau?

Amazing work! i have a question though, isn't there a desync issue with running the AI on the client rather than the server? roblox physics is a bit random after my attempts with it so desync between clients can happen

Nice video C:. I see that you are using terrain, how the performance compares when just using parts an meshes to make the terrain? I'm asking because our project has a good mobile base.

Hi, first of all, bought your course & it is amazing. Came actually from the Udemy-Course to your channel. I wanted to ask if there will by a second chance to help / participate in one of your projects (maybe even the current one) ? PS. Never played risk of rain before, actually discovered the game on your channel besides its popularity. Kind regards, Brocky

The current project I'm working on is with a couple other developers. However, I'm thinking it might be fun to have all students collaborate together on a project, and I could make a video on it! Keep an eye out for that.

mm the UI could get improved... 1. add a uistroke with a gradient on the health bar, going from white to red. 2. the cash counter is... questionable for this kind of game, i recommend putting it at the top of the screen with a black semi-transparent background 3. when taking damage, the overlay ui should tween to 0 then slowly to 1 again when the player is at full health 4. the objective UI should have a toggle button for mobile players overall i see some potential in your game bro!
