GI, what ever you do, PLEASE do not take down any of your content from your YT channel. Replays, Super Replays, Test Chambers, New Gameplay Today, GI Shows, etc. Any episodes of Replay or Super Replay that aren't on your channel, you should upload them so they aren't gone forever. I wonder how the former GI members that are at Giant Bomb, MinnMax, and wherever else are taking this news. Maybe get everybody together to do a long goodbye video. Give it a good send off.

Nah, not in 2024, a lot of the companies is all about the money and if the money ain't right then the project is abandon without even a proper ending/goodbye. Business is business these days. if it ended a decade ago then yea they would probably do a farewell. who knows, they still might, but im thinking not. I wish they went out with a bang. this generation sucks. gaming is not like the good old days.

@GrantTodd-eh7ub gamestop has proven time and time again it has no idea what's best for anyone. The GI crew was the only bit of human touch it had that actually showcased a love of gaming. If they were smart, they would have let GI finish off this year of issues, and then do one final farewell issue. But nah, they wrote the "farewell message" with AI, and nuked the Twitter when one of the staff actually tried to give a real farewell tweet.

This is a perfect opportunity to reflect upon death. One day you could be doing the most ridiculous, pointless undertaking, so much that you ironically laugh about it, like covering this weird Squirrel game and then, it's all over. There is nothing next, no more chances, no no bow before the curtain drops. That was it. Game informer's last video covered Squirrel with a Gun after 33 years of relevance.

Having been a GI subscriber between 2004 to 2006, I'm pretty sad to see this magazine go away as it has. They were pretty instrumental to me as a kid. In the pre-KZbin era, this and Yahoo Games were the only ways I got gaming updates. As I get older, it becomes more difficult to remember things from my past but I'll always cherish seeing the latest GI covers and learning about the latest releases via the reviews section. If someone has been archiving the old magazines, I'd love to see them.
