Adoptive Parenting takes so much extra energy and awareness. These kids are born with trauma. We had 2 children who came into our family through adoption and while it was so worth it, we spent so much time caring for their special needs as an adoptee. Adoption is not for the faint of heart.
@MKisVlogging2 ай бұрын
Yes!! I hope they see this comment! Adoption isn’t the best solution just to give their other kids a “playdate”. I really do believe that sav and Cole are great parents, and I think they’re gifted with the resources and love that many parents do not have. However, I myself am adopted, and even though I was adopted as a baby, I still have had to go to therapy for abandonment issues and anxiety issues, even though I don’t even remember anything that happened. My grandparents and my aunt were also foster parents, and kids who are about ev’s age and are in foster care are usually way more traumatized than someone who was adopted as a baby. They might act out in ways they never imagined a kid would act, and say wildly inappropriate things around the other kids. I would never discourage adoption, but they should definitely be prepared for what they’re exposing their other kids to potentially, and the time and attention that kid will likely need.

I am a mom of 5 kids as well. My kids ages being 15, 13, 8, 7, and 3. Totally understand everything you talked about! Last year my older two made their school’s Track, cross country, basketball, and swim teams. My 7 and 8 year old joined their color-guard team! I am also a working mom (kindergarten teacher). Life is busy, but would not have it any other way! It is hard getting the kids to and from practices, games, meets, and competitions, but boy it is my absolute favorite thing to cheer my kids on. Something that has helped is weekly and monthly planning meetings where we look at what is on the calendar. My husband and I plan and schedule rides. It is also important to make friends with other parents and carpooling! Cole is right things do get a little complicated the more mobile the kids become, but seeing your children’s personality and talents develop it’s incredible!

This is coming from a now grown adult who was very involved in an activity as a child at a high level. I was a competitive swimmer and it always took a lot of time (two sometimes three in water practices a day, extra gym time after those practices and film time, meets almost every other weekend and the expenses that came along with it) especially when I got to a higher level. But having the support of my parents was crucial to me enjoying it. This support was not just letting me do it but sometimes helping me to know that sometimes I needed a break and reminding me that there are other important parts of my life that aren’t swimming. Hope this gave some insight god bless❤

I really appreciate the intentionality with which you raise your kids. In regards to the dance question that you asked people to comment about- I totally think we need to help our kids find what they’re good at and then encourage them in that direction. With dance I would ask the question: how will this serve her as an adult? I know she’s MASSIVELY talented, but being a professional dancer is difficult and typically not a lifelong career. Also- is that even what she would want to do with her life? Secondly, and I say this will all the love and respect in the world, our kids should not be the center of our lives. That teaches them that the world revolves around them and leads them to be really selfish people. It sounds like dance takes up such a significant amount of time and resources that even though I know that’s not what you would ever want her to believe- that’s the message that’s being sent. We should be bringing our kids into our world instead of our lives revolving around them. This is probably the 2nd comment in my whole life I’ve ever left on a KZbin video- so just know this comes only because you asked and I’m not an internet troll hiding behind a keyboard. 😂 Thankful for the platform you’ve built and how you use it to bring glory to the Lord.

I don’t have a girl, but my son is in competitive travel baseball. Yes it usually is just a season, but he is so into it that he is being selected for national teams throughout the year. He plays all year long. Last year and this year too, he was selected to play in a team over New Year’s, which we have to travel right after Christmas, which is hard. I know the time commitment and cost is high, but I see the lessons he is learning and the growth he is getting from this. I also remind myself that this is a season and will be going before I know it and I will miss every minute of it. He wants to pursue baseball for college and beyond. It has given him a goal to work towards and I will always support that. I know it is different for every family so what you choose for your family is what is right for you. 💕

5 kids under one roof is a lot, I know by experience (only for 6-7 months), they are not all ours. We are down to 4 now and it is still a lot. My husband and I have 2 of our own (11 years old and 5 years old). We opened our home to my husband's nephew and nieces. The nephew came to live with us in 2021 over a child protective case , the girls were placed with someone else at that time. Last year in September we opened our home to the 2 girls after yet again and other Child Protective case sadly. The oldest turned 16 one month in with us, and unfortunately today she is not living with us, because (SOMEONE WHO SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK TO WITHOUT SUPERVISION BUT STILL DOING BEHIND OUR BACK) They told her she was 16 and now she can live where she wants. So she had this huge freak out calling my husband (her uncle) bad names, a lot of them. She picked to live with her dad but then started 💩 with him. He needs to go to court over the her issues. We don't have help either much more than that, I do have family around but it's not like I expect them to take on my responsibilities. At this moment we have a 11 & 5 and the extra set of siblings we have are 15 (nephew) &12 (niece)

I’m so glad you guys still homeschool your kids! You guys are really awesome people, and great parents! My daughter has watched you guys for years, and I just want to thank both of you for bringing us into your lives, and being great role models for families, and influencers for the everyday life of parenting:)

Yeah. Keep homeschooling your kids and do not listen to the haters. If there is one thing that I know for sure is that in the end, love on the Labrant Adam always wins.

We r in the process of adopting a 3 year old boy. We weren’t looking but god placed him in our lives where we couldn’t say no. It’s been a month now that he’s been in our house and he has fit right in. Already calling us mom and dad.

I'm 27 right now and I got my tubes removed on the 10th of May after having a emergency c section for my 2nd kid. I have 2 kids 1 of each gender. Alot of people think I'm crazy for getting fixed at such a young age but 2 kids is my limit. So I understand how your both feeling. There is also a part of me that is sad to think I'm done having kids but 2 is my limit.

I definitely support Everleigh. She only has the opportunity once. It helps to have another dance family where you can share some of the responsibility as far as getting to and from practice and or events.

I always wondered why anyone needs to tell people such personal information like having or not having children. You don’t need to share this with anyone because it’s no one’s business.

I’m confused… She said at the beginning of the video they don’t have baby sitter help but then 6:25 he said they had the babysitter come an hour early. So they do have babysitter help?

dance is such a special place for kids and my girl is so invested in to it and seeing her so happy competing and performing it is honestly the best feeling and having being a competitive dancer when i was younger and seeing her flourish in something she loves and is amazing at and wants to carry on in the future it is something you can never pull from a kid as it would be the most heartbreaking thing. my daughter has learnt discipline and created life long friends and the last thing she would ever want to do is to have her most prized possession and talent taking away and even though it is so expensive it is all worth it for the memories she will look back at it in the future and be so grateful to you as her parents for helping her reach her full potential as a performer❤

love your videos! my parents had six kids. they invested in us swim lessons, music lessons, orchestra, gymnastics, karate, basketball, camping and all while participating in church and homeschooling us… i can say that with all my siblings we had the best childhood! most of us have graduated college now with bachelors and master’s degrees. it is possible to pursue your dreams and achieve a lot for each child in larger families! the investment and work is worth it!

Let her dance! If she wants to do it please let her!! I remember her saying on her first day of school poster she wanted to be a dance teacher for as long as I can remember, so please let her🙏 I'm a dance teacher myself and it's an amazing profession, impacting so many lives, not only in dance but teaching life skills. I think the more experience she will have herself the better teacher she can be.

Cole I hope your procedure & recovery goes good. You are blessed with a beautiful family and you are great parents. I love how open and honest you are in your videos. If you weren’t good parents, you wouldn’t worry about having enough time to spend one on one time with all your kids !! End the day everybody can tell you their opinion on how to raise your kids, but God gave you those beautiful kids to raise not anybody else!! I just miss your family on social media!! y’all to the beginning when you first met!! Ya’ll are Definitely so blessed with the Financial means to take care of your kids ( and all their needs and wants) homeschool them and be with them every day.

He got a vasectomy, and I was pregnant without knowing it (that's how baby number four happened-ovulation almost 14 days late 😂). We love all of our children, but I need to be able to be there for all of them. We are not having children just for the sake of having children. I have also had 16 losses and one forced abortion by my ex, so it has been a long journey! Hopfullythe vasectomy works😮. - Katarina*
