Todd seems like a real class act lol.. he reminds me of a friend of mine that passed on a few years ago from braincancer 😞. 14 year old version of me brought my bike into his shop a few times in a box of parts lol… he would just shake his head and say “what on earth did you do now?”.. I had no money and he would let me work at the shop for to pay for labour and parts. I still think about him quite often and it’s been roughly 10 years since he passed.

People like your guy are what make the motorcycle industry what it is today. I myself have done th same thing and make it I little easier on the people struggling to go racing . It takes so much to go racing (any kind of racing) so when I can help a kid out and my paycheck is to slap a sticker on his bike it makes all worth while to stay up to 4a.m. Thursday just so he can load up Friday morning and head out. I LOVE RACING. ONCE ITS IN YOU ... ITS IN YOU 4EVER

My 22 TC250 was so sluggish when I got it. Couldn’t figure it out for like 6 months. Jetting was spot on… then the power valve was checked and it was only opening up 1/3 of the way. After it was fixed…. It literally had 3 times the power. It was night and day.

I wonder if the pipe doesn’t have strong enough divergent wave or not enough blowdown time. For example allowing the exhaust to open sooner allows more time for scavenging since the pipe doesn’t have a strong enough negative divergent wave to pull fresh air charge into the cylinder with such low port blowdown timing, I would be curious if the stock pipe made better mid range power

The engine is UE version (ilrappa works in Italy) and the CDI is different from USA version because we have less octane. If you change the CDI or if you use 95 or 100 octane fuel the bike will be great
@toddlachance7855 Жыл бұрын
CDI was correct. I do a lot of bikes from Europe. CDI maps are fine just need to know specific parameters in order to make bike run correctly in other areas.

Looked like he pulled out the short spring for the initial opening. The one the pv adjuster on the outside loads against. Guessing that makes the pv open sooner. Be interesting to see how the red green or yellow springs then behave. Not sure what i would do with another 7hp in the mid on my 250xc lol
@Reubambam247 Жыл бұрын

That bike experience at Straight Rhythm was a little traumatic for me to watch. I'm very basic and rudimentary when it comes to mechanical issues, so that's the kind of thing that happens to me. But when I see AJ, who has money, connections, mechanics, and even Mitch at his disposal that day, and they couldn't straighten things out ....... what chance do I have when things go sideways mechanically?! I've learned a couple of things over the years, but it doesn't take much to shut things down for me.

This is a problem with custom built stuff.they didn't really do alot of diagnostic to figure it out.they just thru some jets at it and tried it.these are very easy to figure out.i have not watched the hole video as I type this but I'm gonna bet the titanium pipe and the jetting was not jiving.either the stinger portion of the pipe is off and didn't like to be hot under a load.if they put a stock or pro circuit pipe on and jetted it accordingly would of fixed it.but the wanted to keep it trick as possible
