Pro tips 1. All warps can be skipped for time saving by pressing F8 as it says in warp at the top right 2. The captain should always go the the surface to accept additional missions 3. you can repair and buy fuel cells at a station but you can find fuel cells on the ground 4. you should search all areas in a mission for cells, credits, food, ammo, and even free ship parts 5. The science guy can grab stuff with his radar yes, but his important job is using his scanner to find biomaterial to break down and research upgrades 6. Upgrades take warp jumps as a turn to research but if you want to research faster you can just spend the cell manually 7. You can send things to others inventory, so if someone finds biomaterial you can send it to the science officer in the menu without having to trade through the captain (who can access everyone's locker) or drop it and it disappear or glitch through the ground 8. Money is shared to a pool but only the Captain can buy with no restrictions, other crew have a per jump limit that the Captain can set or disable. 9. Your ship has an inventory you can see from the in game menu and you should sell whatever parts you will not use to make sure you have space for new found part on ground or in ship battles 10. Engineering on some ships have an excavator that you can use to find items in old derelict ship parts (like the ship Simon was flying around) 11. Take a look at your skills when the crew lvl's up and plan witch ones need to come first some will only have one upgrade but are very important to lvl first to get the max benefit, like a scanner upgrade etc... LASTLY I recommend not upgrading your ship parts at all till you find some good ones you may wanna keep, but upgrading you energy pistol is recommended

@@adamsmith607 I know, but a LOT these things just aren't said and while I love these guys and this game I would rather give them (and others) the option to just choose to read the tips, I mean take tip 1, it's optional if they want to save time but not needed, they can take the time to do whatever, BUT #2 is something I think they should be aware of because a lot of cool stories will go unnoticed and they'll miss options for cool missions, #3 I actually had to google where to get fuel because I couldn't for the life of me find out how to get it. research is something that if you don't know about it you can waste a lot of potential, and I KNOW the money limits will come up as a problem if they don't understand why they have a limit, and some features don't get used because people never get to look at them. But weather the points are just information or suggestions even if they don't read or utilize them they're for the community here too as I hope everyone here who is interested can find use in this comment.

I like to imagine that this and the Sea of Thieves series have a shared continuity that runs on the same rules as Blackadder. That's why Neebs is a captain though being descended from a lowly janitor on a blue water ship. Appsro's descendent is now just an engineer. And things went so sideways for third-mate Simon's descendants that he's now a robot with less health than everyone else, which I guess makes him Baldrick XD

Episode 1 and I'm already in LOVE with this series! Captain Neebs and his crew, boldly going where no one has gone before... to fell Fluffy Biscuits... and occasionally rob some people. This would be the BEST reboot of Star Trek. Can't wait for Dora to get into the mix and see what deep space hijinks these dummies get up to!

I made that mistake with Ark AND 7 days to die. Sadly they make a lot of the games they play look way more fun than they actually are. The down side of survival games is that they get boring af without a group to play with. and none of my friends like survival games 🤷‍♂️
