Hi Mon, so exciting that you’re getting a dog! Vizslas are the best breed. Our vizsla has just turned 2 and the first 2 years were incredibly tough. Not to be preachy at all but more to just share what I wish someone had said to me as I wish someone had been honest with us and not sugar coated it. The breed is very full on and requires constant attention and stimulation. It was relentless and very draining. We were told she would calm around 2 years old and it really did take 2 years for her to mellow out (in saying that, she is still crazy!). Crate training was a God send! We absolutely love her to bits now and she is so so loving and clever and funny but the first two years, especially the first 6 to 8 months, were TOUGH! To the point where we doubted if we could do it anymore (I am sure fellow vizsla owners can relate). We stuck with it and now she is wonderful. We do lots of scent work with ours and use her natural instincts with training and on walks and that’s a great way to work the breed and tire them out even if you don’t want your dog to be a working HPR because mental stimulation is imperative! Look forward to seeing your updates with your pup! You will have a best friend for life 💕🐶 the love is indescribable X

Hey, Montana! Could you maybe do next a montage video of some different dance moves you could do?

I wouldn’t put the crate in your room. Start as you mean to go on. Once you move it back downstairs, you’ll hear the cries more. It’s fine for them to cry. If you start touching the crate as reassurance, your going to feed the anxiety. Just my advice x we got a spaniel last year (training video on my channel)

where are you getting it from?

you know vizlas require an awful amount of exercise? like 2 walks a day? how will you juggle that around your work? not sure i agree with having such an energetic breed in the middle of london with a small garden

So funny, how mum guilt starts before the dog even gets home. Dog mum or child mum, us women suffer 🤣
