If John builds the pup a pea gravel do run, you can train her to go to the pen first and not release her in the yard until after she does her business. It’s a lot easier to pick up poop from gravel than dirt and once trained she’ll only go in the pen, saving the rest of your yard from having poop bombs!

Here’s a tip: bell train your pup to alert you it needs to potty. I used to use just Christmas bells on a string around door knob but since bought a classy silver 🔔 from amazon and mounted on baseboard by the door.

What a Absolutely Special time for the Girls! We got our 1st Dog for our kids when our 3 Boys were 8, 6 1/2, 4 . It was our Best decision for the boys. Our dog was a Black Lab/Irish Setter . Jazmin would check on the boys each and every night when they were sleeping. She would go to the side of there beds lay her head down next to there’s, go to the next bedroom and did the same thing for each of the 3 Boys. Then she would alternate a different bedroom each night sleeping on the floor next to their beds. We were stationed on Fort Polk,Louisiana. We found her at the animal shelter on base. We had to put our name on a waiting list. The day she was available they started calling the first name on the list you had 30 minutes to get there to pick her up or they went to the next name. We were the 12 names on the list for her. She was the only puppy 8 weeks old. I got the call , called my husband at the Unit and told him to get to moving the clock is ticking. He made it and we brought our Sweet Jazmin Rose home. 2 weeks later she was in our Fenced in backyard and I had went to grab a glass of water. I heard screaming and ran out and found our back gate ripped off the neighbors Husky attacking our Baby Girl. I got Jazmin away and my friend was at the playground heard what was going on. She watched the boys while I rushed Jazmin to the emergency Vet in Leesville,Louisiana. Her back end was hurt both back legs had injuries and her hips. Jazmin recovered except for she always had a limp and pain the rest of her life. But it never held her back. She Loved going to my Husbands Moms house in Redding,CA and swimming in the Sacramento River that was right in there back yard. When she would get out she would run without pain because the river numbed the pain. Jan 1,1994-Aug 16,2006 RIP Sweet Jazmin Rose
