Asia, how exciting! Singapore is a great starting point as English is so common, safe, and a true melting pot of people, cultures & traditions. Oddly, I worked for a year in Singapore and never explored the airport; was only there to depart/arrive on flights …look at what I missed! I look forward to experiencing your future episodes of Vietnam & SE Asia! Life is good! 😀

Stumbled upon your Channel. Singaporean here, and coincidentally, I’m a Singapore airlines crew member as well. So welcome welcome. Singapore is Asia Lite, a good stepping stone for first timers to Asia. We aren’t really like the typical south East Asian countries portrayed overseas, hence things are pretty expensive here, at least compared to other countries in the region. Enjoy your stay and enjoy your upcoming trip around Singapore. Maybe make a video asking where to go and what to eat and let the comments guide you.

Empty seat in your own on a long flight is possibly one of the best feelings on the world. 😆 Getting second hand excitement for you guys! Our first trip to Asia was when we MOVED to Hanoi, completely blind, only having watched countless travel vlogs. It was quite the place to start. I can imagine you've aready had that experience since this video. Pure chaos.😂 Kathryn attempting to use the chopsticks is actually too cute. Hahaha. You'll soon have lots of practice! It is always a joy to see and hear about visitors from foreign lands loving this small city state of ours whenever they dropped by for a visit or in your case, a layover. On your return leg layover at SG again, go get yourself some Pandan cakes in and around any confectionaries or local coffee shops, and you'll know how and where that 'odd' and indescribable taste you had on your Birds of Paradise Pandan flavour gelato. Most if not many tourists finds the cake simple yet delectable at the same time. Also, if you really did find the kaya toast nice as a breakfast, go to any of the establishments below and you'll find yourselves some of the best kaya toasts in SG : 1. YA Kun Kaya Toast and Coffee 2. KILLINEY Kaya Toast and Coffee - Killiney Rd. Stay safe and fun loving always you fellas. 😊

I spend quite a bit of time in that part of the world and ALWAYS look forward to either taking mini-vacations in the Singapore airport or spending long layovers there. Unless things have changed, Yotel is "transit," meaning one has a six-hour stay, then prices increase exponentially on an hourly basis after that initial period. I also find (found - one stay was enough!) the rooms too confining. So, I spend the extra, which doesn't result in too much "extra" for a typical 10-hour check-in/check-out stay, and utilize the also on-site Crowne Plaza. Anyway, Singapore Changi is a enjoyable destination all by itself for sure!

One trick for a couple when selecting seats on a long flight. You two should selected the window and aisle seats, leave the middle seat open . Most people don’t like to sit in the middle, so unless the flight is fully booked, you will get the whole roll to yourselves. Even if the flight is fully booked, that person will happily switch seat with one of you afterwards.
