Must Add - This is fantastic. Not only did no one go to jail in S&L crisis, but the AIG bailout was even worse. We bailed out Deutsche Bank. Largest underwater mortgage lender in US and through the upside down swaps. We need small government that focuses on defense and enforcement. Not windmills.

Adam, I am a somewhat young (35) stay at home mom of 5. I have learned SO much from your channel and try to never miss an episode. I’m extremely thankful for the wealth of information I have gained from you and all of your guests. Thank you for the effort and time you put into your channel, can’t wait until my kids are old enough to watch and learn.

Having the Menlo bear interview the Bear Cave while I’m hibernating on the couch made this grumpy winter bear hungry for some ethics & a burgeoning Spring of Common-good morals… Thanks once again Adam and to the crazy little Doomberg chicken, for sending us to interview Edwin. This is just as crucial as any other form of financial education and economic savvy. You can’t have a system being undermined everywhere, openfacedly and normalising this Behaviour of bad actors and expect that system to thrive. This has to be widely understood and rooted out. In the same way that it’s so risky to be a whistleblower, this poison system protects itself and once again, only an uprising of educated citizenry is going to bring it to heel. Thank you both gentlemen.

Great work that Edwin is doing. I just watched some interviews with Harry Markopolos, who was talking about how little penalty these executive face when they commit these crimes. I'm watching the TV show "Better Call Saul" and thought someone should make a TV miniseries on a good guy like Markopolos, trying to expose companies and characters, or a movie, like in Michael Lewis' "the Big Short". Would be a great crime drama and raise peoples awareness about what is going on (although without the dark stuff that devolves in "Better Call Saul"). Adam-ism for today, "you hang out in the deepest part of the pool".

I predicted this kind of thing 25 years ago as I saw the push for situational ethics, subjective "truth", etc. When cultural philosophies change, it takes a few decades to trickle down and permeate. Thus a similar lack of ethics with all professions--including medical, as we have seen. Everyone doing what is "right" in their own eyes.

Sadly too, because what is right isn't actually subjective. This will have a pervasive toll on society.

Terrific interview, love his energy! So my wife and me own a mobile health care company in Colorado Springs, chiropractic and massage. This is something we see constantly with the joint. The amount of deceptive treatment plans, easy to sign up, sneaky lingo, they use has always been concerning to the profession. Anyone who’s charging large treatment plans from a chiropractic perspective needs to be watched. Amazing see you break that down!

Great presentation! We need more people like Edwin Dorsey! It is good news that the regulators are getting more aggressive in bringing the bad actors to justice. But there are two learning that stand out from Edwin Dorsey presentation. Why do people do not have more common sense? P. T. Barnum, the American showman of the mid-19th century, once said: ‘’There is a sucker born every minute’’. One century later, the people did not improve their common sense knowledge! I never had a good opinion of Wall Street analysts, because of their bias evaluations of stocks. The evaluation 101 starts with a good understanding of the business model of a company. These analysts cannot even figure out how a company is making money, and they are recommending the stock as a buy???

So-called regulators rarely impose significant fines. Jamie Dimon was paid a bonus for his success at manipulating regulators when he should have been fried at the time of the London Whale scandal in which he was charged with failure to supervise, which should call for removal by regulators.

Nobody went to jail for the banking malfeasance in 2008 because under the Clinton Community Reinvestment Act, they forced banks to make those bad loans for fear of losing their bank credentials. Also, this legislation is what made it legal to bundle mortgages and sell the MBS’s. How can the government prosecute when they forced the banks’ hands?

Obama on his Green Tour visited ZBB Energy in Menomonee Falls WI. The company was renamed EnSync. The company was spun off Johnson Controls, ZBB stands Zinc Bromide Battery. Over two decades the company never had a yearly profit. Obama visited around 2010. I worked near there and would walk by the company daily, no shipping traffic or customer/vendor visits. Just looked like a front company. Yeah, it went bankrupt after stealing close $300M in investor money. Did the executives get in trouble? Nope!

Kudos Edwin and Adam...In addition to these compelling tales, we need to examine additional approaches used by businesses to "dress up the windows," such as ESG greenwashing and success tales about digital transformation, which reportedly have a failure rate of 70-80% as measured by returns (RoI).

Currently, the promotion of non profitable companies by the business channels and internet sites that have never made money and can't show a path to profitability in 2 or 3 years are part of the current mania. Fintech, used car companies, and tech companies are the worst. We need a return to valuations based on TTM ( trailing twelve months). These FWD (forward PE's) and times sales are a fraud in my opinion. Lots of fools getting parted from their money.
