I know how you could redo the Camper Vehicle with clay without armature. Get 2 pencils with the same thickness and place them parallel to each other and get your clay and put it in the middle and with a roller pin, roller pin on top of both pencils and the clay should roll evenly with the thickness of the pencils. Now with the help of a stencil, cut out the different pieces for the vehicle like how you did with the cardboard but with the clay. Roll more clay down if you need more. Now you could bake the different pieces separately and then you could glue them together like a ginger bread house. Hope this helps! If you ever wanna redo it!

May I ask, What kind/type of tripod/mount do you use to get the top down view of your work?

Paper mache works better if you use cheap two ply toilet paper or paper towels without much pattern and peel apart the plys and use one ply. Then paint the glue with a brush on the top of the wet mache to smooth things out.

Maybe you could redo the camper similar to how you did the tree. You could ball up a big piece of aluminum and mold the camper around so that there’s no seams, although that might take a lot of clay.
