My method for putting groceries away is if I buy it from a cooler or fridge, it goes in my fridge at home. If I buy it from on the shelf then in goes in my cupboards, and stays there unless it specifically says to refrigerate after opening

Could you set up a booth at a fair or farmers market? You could also look for foster care homes in your area or organizations that support youth in foster care and donate to those. Also domestic violence shelters where the kids still need decent clothes for school and women need decent clothes for work.

I am a retired Sexual Assault Counselor w/YWCA. Our victims come in 24/7 and many times need clothing & shoes to wear home after their exam. I buy flip flops, sandals & clothing at Old Navy or Kohls when it super cheap then donate it.

Ya'll should get some large photo tiles for your bedroom wall next to the bed. Get some of all three kids and a couple of your family groups. I'm thinking of those that are like Mixtiles which can be removed and rearranged easily. Paige is a cutie and growing up so fast! Ebay could be used to move a few of those clothes out quickly and get a little money back. Donations are great idea as well. Give some to thrift stores as well as homeless/women's shelters.

I don't have children and never will due to my age, but I have taught them in church and loved it (most of the time,lol 😂). If I go to someone's house that has young kids, I will sit by the kids if the parents are cleaning or cooking and ask the kids what they like to do.

Take some down to the shelters. If you have kids home in your area. Take some there. Those kids are growing and most only have couple outfits. Or take some to veterans hospital they’ll give them to their patients.

But I’m going to go back to school and try to become a medical assistant. A happy day sweatshirt would be an amazing up lifting thing for starting school. The only thing crew socks are good for is in the winter time. You can wear your stretch pants, the socks over them and then a pair of jeans over that they keep warm. You know us northern girls I’m from Michigan know how to layer when we go outside, but you don’t seem to think that you need a jacket in the winter lol

Something to do with the shirts that would help you and the older people. Take them as gifts to nursing homes at Christmas and thanksgiving. My girls do things like this all the time. Lots people donate to shelters or children places. But most of the adults in nursing homes have no visitors nor receive gifts of any kind. Every thanksgiving and Christmas my girls and lots of their friends get some churches to help throw parties and dinners for those left at nursing homes during holidays. Most times that’s the only time that they are allowed to have a party . So it’s only time they see other people. Most only let families visit and most time they don’t. Brighten their days with them.

You could also donate to the nursing homes. The elderly are always cold and some do not have family that visit them or have any left. Most of the elderly in nursing homes get forgotten about or feel forgotten. They would definitely appreciate the clothes. It might be the only brand new thing they ever get while there.... When i am back home and am able to visit my Gram in the nursing facility she is in, we always try to talk to all they elderly patients that are in the halls because, we know that it might be the only time someone takes the time to say hello and put a smile on their faces even if it is only for a few moments

Oh Austin, your comment that it would be ironic to donate brand new clothing items to homeless people would “be ironic” since they said happy day on them hurt my heart. Unhomed people, domestic violence shelters, donating to people undergoing chemo, the list is endless of just how meaningful the donation would be, and perhaps it would help them have a happy day knowing that someone cared enough to make such a thoughtful donation.
