I was two pounds when I was born and spent my first six months in the hospital. Now that I'm going into nursing myself... I really, really want to track down the people that saved my life and in a way saved my mom's life and say thank you. It's really a full circle moment. 😊😊😊

I was born 9 1/2 weeks early and I was 4 lb 6oz, apparently my mom had gestational diabetes and that’s why I was so huge! My lungs were underdeveloped though and I had a brain hemorrhage at birth so I spent some time in the nicu, honestly a miracle I made it through with just mild cerebral palsy

😂. I checked into the birthing center and asked them if there was a restroom nearby because I need to #2. A labor nurse heard me and came flying in 2 seconds later with a wheelchair and swept me away. My son was born 20 min later. 🎉

With my first, my nurses were quite excited when I said I didn’t want my placenta and they could have fun with it. We had a velamentous cord insertion so they wanted to go and show all those on staff that night who had never seen one in person before.

I was wondering, when someone gets epidural do they don’t feel pain like at all or does it just makes it hurts less ? Does it always work ? And also approximately how many times does it takes for the placenta to come out?
@Mysterious-Night15 күн бұрын
It doesn’t always work, it is possible to not feel any pain with it, and Idk the answers to the other questions

Ive had 2 babies with epidurals and 2 without epidurals. The pain is still there but significantly less. With epidurals I felt massive pressure with minimal pain. Without the epiduals, it was more pain than pressure. Both times it worked like a charm for me, however I could still feel in random places while I was numb elsewhere. For example, I could feel everything on the inside of one of my thighs while the other thigh was totally numb. Strange. Not sure what you mean about the placement.

@@emilyhostetler4946 Oh so it really worth to do it ? Oops I meant placenta, thank you for the clarification!
