From what I can remember we always kept the PZ style mower on the ground when it was spinning which means the 2 round’s furthest from the ditch got a bit chopped up. The reason for doing this was because it was hard on the circlip holding on the saucer’s if lifted while spinning

Love to see it! My neighbour was out making hay with his fiat 680, and David brown which his dad bought new many years ago! There is something about old school hay making that you just cant beat

Funny enough 20 years ago I used to do hay with a 7710 fwa with a 7 disk mower and followed up with a five wheel rake on a fordson major over here in Australia

You can certainly nip on with a drum mower. We had. PZ 165 on our Leyland 270 and for it's size you can crack on very well.

Feel like we're the only ones not making hay! Although in our area havnt seen many people doing it this window, we don't recon our grass is ready as it's not as high as last year's and not fully gone to seed yet! Great video mate 😊

Great vid nick id keep the revs set on the tractor when you are dropping and reving back up again you might snap the top shaft on your mower

Lovely to see the old classics out, major runs that a treat made for the job, the lack of live hydraulics can make it interesting when topping on my Fergie before I fitted an over run clutch the momentum of the mower used to keep pushing it forward so you had to really plan what you were doing at the headlands 🤣

Nice to see the old kit out. I have the problem with the live pto on my Ferguson ted20 setting off the topper and tractor at the same time is interesting but fine with Pleanty of revs. Keep it up nick love the videos 👍

Oh wow, I've been waiting for this one, love it. Fantastic to see the 7710 working again and the Major out too. In fact the Major seems to be suiting the haybob or you have it adjusted just right this year as it's flinging far better than last year when it only seemed to want to row it up regardless!
