Only in Idaho would people cheer for a place mothers can abandon their unwanted children that they were forced to carry to term. One woman's dystopia is another man's paradise I guess.

It's a sad indictment on humanity that these are even necessary. Can't help but think that generally in the US the approach to sex ed needs to be more consistent and comprehensive in all states.

I think they are great. Saved some babies lives, in Germany. The baby will get ro live instead of being aborted or risk exposure. A couple will receive an adopted child. The mother gets a way out of a difficult situation.

What a God Send...for Mothers, Fathers, Babies and the childless parents out there praying for a miracle!! To the individuals who have worked so hard to put this Special Box in place, and those will be caring for these babies...my God Richly Bless you! Thank you..

Sean, I agree. I feel heartbroken that our culture is so unsupportive to women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. Not only better education but also change in the way we provide support and resources to these mothers who have to even contemplate utilizing a safe haven box.

@@TheABCStation exactly. If ever there was an indicator of insufficient education, support, and awareness of options and agencies. Let's face it, a box for babies is an absolute last resort and an emergency measure. It is not the solution.

It’s sad that Idaho is so far behind the other states. Most states have safe havens throughout each county. I guess it’s some progress…

You've been able to drop off an unwanted child at any fire station as long as it's unharmed and hand off to a on duty personnel in all 50 states it's been a safe haven law for decades. Only thing this does different is you ring the door bell instead of talking to a person. Unsure of this virtue signal.
