I hope you are prepared for the big number of Agnostics and Atheists in the Netherlands. Might be hard to find people where you can share your beliefs with in the same way.

I appreciate your comment! Although that may be true, I'm looking forward to having conversations about faith with others who may have different opinions :)

Hey Victoria! We're going through move to the Netherland as well. Is it possible for you to share contact of real estate agent? How is your search of apartment is going on right now?

Hi! We used a company called Dutchify - they helped us with a few logistics in preparation for our move in addition to helping us find a place to live. I didn't have the best experience with them but feel free to do your own research. Thankfully, we found an apartment a few days before we flew over. All the best with your move!

@@iamviccc hi! Is there anything in particular you didn't like to work with dutchify? I talked to them and it all sounds great, but reviews are kind of all over the place.

@@dusblinov To be honest, they were not very professional. I paid 1.5k euros to work with them and they sold me on providing full service to support our move (i.e. finding a place to live, applying for BSN, phone plans, bank accounts, etc.). They were very unresponsive and I felt like I had to follow up several times to get a response. As a customer and as a foreigner, I expected them to be proactive and to tell me what I needed to do, but I felt like I was always chasing them and I couldn't rely on what they would tell me. They made me feel bad for asking questions and for following up even though I paid a lot of money for their help. The only thing they helped me with was finding a place to live, and the experience was so frustrating that I didn't even want to ask them to help me with the other things because I'd rather do it myself. Personally, I wouldn't recommend working with them. Sorry I wish I had a better recommendation for you! I have a colleague who moved here from Canada and she found a place to live on her own without working with an agent, so it's possible to do this on your own but it might just take a little more effort. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope this was helpful.

@@iamviccc I had the same feelings towards them, so I just wanted to double-check your experience. I thought it was just too good to be true, and it seems that it is :) Thank you again! Yeah, I don't scare to look for an apt for myself; I prefer to have some support from locals. The plan is to come first, try it ourselves, and then only consider looking for some help. Cheers!

Did you apply to become a fighter pilot? Dutch firms don't require these kind of tests unless your job is being a fighter pilot or an off-shore diver and the likes. You must be working for a foreign company.

While a high percentage of Dutch people speak really good English, the Netherlands isn't English speaking. But I know what you meant 🤪

Good choice, the Netherlands is the perfect hub to see a lot of Europe and we do speak English. Be prepared to do some biking and you will soon find out why. Den Haag is a great city, with a lot of fabulous asian food, enjoy.

don,t mention this god thing to often in Nederland most people will think you took drugs if you claim to have a invisible all knowing all powerful friend in the sky and do not suck up to your boss like a lot of people are used to do above mexico
