I love my Propain Hugene. I’ve been riding it for two years. It can handle enduro trails but is still fun on the green XC stuff. Best trail bike I’ve owned

It’s awesome that Propain is becoming a bigger mtb brand. They are great bikes with the ability to lightly customize your bike. I look forward to trying the new spindrift soon. Thanks for your hard work & sharing this video.

Portland is cool. Love it here. We just call it the northwest. Not the pnw 😅

I just rode a Propain Tyee at Rocky Point and really enjoyed the bike. I never noticed the suspension working, which to me is the greatest compliment. It was very smooth and never engaged climb switch for climbing. Great bike!

Washington/Oregon is world class when not wet, so diverse and pretty close to Canada for your Whistler adventures. I don't see you guys living there full time though....next?

This is the only area I've ever mountain biked, starting in 1996. I feel like, compared to many trails I've watched vids of and seen maps of, NW trails greens are basically blues, blues are low key blacks and blacks are all double blacks anywhere else ha. The tech aspect of NW riding is very real and most trails are maintained very well. Sandy Ridge is my home base and I like to bike in the coastal range like Klootchy Creek. Invest in Transitions sunglasses cuz the woods are always dark but then it can be Very bright poppin in and out. Pays to have the right sunglass lenses!

The PDX area is great for riding, but also insanely expensive and Vancouver, WA got super expensive in the last couple years as people are fleeing Portland due to the crime. But between Sandy Ridge, Post Canyon, Rocky Point, Timberline and Yacolt you have some world class riding within an hour~ish of Portland. Obviously the cloudy winter would be no issue for you guys, you'd just travel somewhere sunnier.

You guys need to come down to Redding Ca. Great riding, great people.

You guys should definitely consider a move to the Northwest. You do realize that you've got another entire ecosystem, different terrain, soil, climate, right over the mountains, right? You'd probably like it, it's very dry, lots of great trails.

Double vision - the new Shire Built trail on Galbraith - has really helped my jumping skills. Definitely spend some time on it if you pass through Bellingham.

"Bob's your uncle!" An Aussie-ism for "voila" or "there you go!" Of the Aussie slang, it's in my Top 10. Enjoyed the video. Have been curious about Propain for some time. That Tyee is a beaut!!

What did you all think of the Propain suspension platform? I know you were on ebikes, but curious if you could tell how the kinematics and pedaling platform were compared to others. How would it compare to YT, Ibis, or Yeti? Any that it's more similar to? Propain has been on my list for a while but haven't found an event to demo it in SoCal.

Very active but also pedal friendly! We actually got to test out another model of theirs that wasn’t an e-bike. Traction is pretty insane on them!! It’s kind of a blend of a specialized with dw link if that makes sense? Pretty rad, stay tuned for some reviews soon!

I have a Hugene 140/150. The suspension platform is pretty killer. The rear shock doesn’t even feel like it’s moving (in a good way). It takes out the bumps and yet stays firm with almost no bob. It stays planted when you need it too, but can also be poppy and playful. Pinkbike did a review on it a few years back. It’s the most accurate review that they have ever done on a bike

Thank you both for the replies. Super helpful, and looking forward to the non-ebike review.

I have an ebike with a shimano motor and a Rocky with the actual best motor on the market. The Dyname is flat out amazing. Shimano really can't touch it.

The rocky motor was awesome but the new ep801 shimano is awesome too! Great time to be in the market for sure!
