We’re not the average family- here’s (part of) why

Welcome to Herding little Cows to the glory of God
We're not your typical family, and this isn't the typical KZbin channel. Sara and Mark live on the coast of Maine and have been married for over 20 years and as of this writing (November 2023) we are expecting our 10th child. We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord and that marriage is a gift to be celebrated as well as a relationship to be invested in.
Content on our channel ranges from pregnancy and birth stories to therapy strategies for children with brain injuries. We talk about home education, sing hymns, and share the simple joy of childhood. In a nutshell, we open up our lives and our homes in hopes that our experiences can be a help to others walking through challenges. i REALLY totally understand sara i have to do the same thing with wesley and his issues if you touch him it makes it worse loud noises as well make him jump and set him off daily praying for all of you!!

This is a heavy cross to carry, for the whole family. 🧡 I’m really sorry you have to deal with this, but your attitudes still seem positive and thankful. I have health issues too and it’s hard dealing with other people. I feel I frustrate people from church or friends because it’s hard for me to plan anything because I don’t know how I will feel that day. We have five children and they are my focus and main priority, not meeting the church ladies for coffee. Stay strong! Thank you for sharing. 🧡

Also in Maine...hour or so southwest of you...depends on gas...usually $3.29-$3.49.

We usually fill up if we’re near a Sam’s Club. Sara’s sister in Bangor or specialist appointments in Portland usually mean filling the tank.

How long do the dystonia attacks last for Mark? Is there medicine to help?

They can last for hours at times, often not getting a “reset” without sleep. There is no medicine that can prevent them.

Here in the UK we're paying about £1.40 for a litre of petrol!

It’s not dementia, but it’s also not typical memory issues. Limited word recall, confusion with basic directions, difficulty in daily activities. Sorry if the comparison was confusing.
