Thanks for helping save sharks. Sharks are awesome creatures. I lived in a seaside town and my uncle had a beach on the property he managed for his bosses as a side job. Right on the gulf of Mexico and I lived in Florida. Nearby was a surfer hotspot, that was also a hangout for sharks. The reason the sharks were there at the confluence of the coastal river and ocean was the inlet was a hotspot for large schools of the fish they fed on. A teenager I knew through my friends son got bitten. Not too serious, but he had a good size scar on his thigh. He reacted well and the shark let go. Not the sharks fault. Dude came in on a wave and among the fish the shark was feeding on. My uncle was trying to get time off so we could go visit. He taught us about sand sharks as they liked to hangout near the beach in the shallow water. How to avoid being bitten accidentally. I have never feared them once I learned about them. Same as with alligators in the swamps and ponds in Florida. Once you educate people, fear ceases to be an automatic reaction. Thanks also for educating the locals. It is so sad that so many sharks are the bycatch of the fisherman. The fisherman have to make a living and folks have to eat. Just too bad there isn't more done to avoid the bycatch.

I love sharks so much!!! My favorite species is blue sharks, they’re so beautiful, and all the photos I see of them they have such silly and adorable faces. I feel like they don’t get appreciated as much as other shark species… but I love them anyways, and I’m very glad that IKEA has blue shark plushies because my blahaj is what really got me interested in sharks and now they are my favorite animals alongside mantises and moths. I wish I could help save sharks because it makes me very upset how badly they are treated sometimes :( Hopefully commenting will help you all be able to keep going and help more sharks, because they’re beautiful* and important creatures. I’d love to see a video helping out or just talking about blue sharks, not sure how likely it is and since I haven’t watched every video yet maybe there is one already I haven’t seen, but still! *There’s only one shark I know of that I don’t think is at least somewhat pretty or cute, the megamouth shark- but they’re still pretty cool, even if I’d much prefer to only meet them in dark waters so I don’t see how uncanny their faces are. Sorry, megamouth shark, but you look like a weird old balding man with strange teeth mixed with a fish. I think it’s cool that they’re filter feeders like the basking and whale shark though- if I recall correctly they live in somewhat deeper waters than the other filter feeding sharks. I don’t know why I felt the need to add this note but megamouth sharks are weird and I’m kind of conflicted on how to feel about them lol
