I love this song so much. Maybe it's the "I'll be a symbol of what it all means // to be human" line... because I think, at least in my experience, almost all trans people go through that stage of feeling so othered by the world around them that they hardly feel human. I remember believing I was a monster because I wasnt what my birth certificate said. That line, about being a symbol of humanity despite my relationship with gender... that really stuck with me the first time I heard it, and it might just be why I adore this song so much

It’s also not that simple. There are far ends of the spectrum but a lot of time determine if a skeleton is male or female is more of an educated guess than it is a fact. And it can be kinda difficult to determine sometimes.
