Ren cut himself in the chest with a broken glass from a smashed TV in a laneway just to feel something. It's mentioned in one of The Chapters (There's 8) on his channel Renmakesstuff, worth a watch where he reads Chapters aloud about his life (It's Hertbreaking).

Oh Lordy. This is a great message and a great track. The sample was from Vera Hall, a daughter of slaves and was used on Moby's single, "Natural Blues". Thank you for reacting to Ren.

Loved your reaction guys.💚💜💙 Really liked the technicality of the rap and poetry of this song. To top it off, fighting for others and giving hope. That's powerful.

Ren smiles once in the song. It is when he turns around and sees the stretch limo. Talk about serendipity. I hope it is a view on where his life is leading--out of his poverty and sickness towards health and wealth.

I like the way Ren talks about religion. For an actual Christian, the phrase “Lord I forgive you” is sacrilege (God being without sin or flaw). But Ren is not literally forgiving God; he is, in the euphoria of finding music back in his life, releasing the anger he felt so long toward God/existence. He uses that same approach in “Lost All Faith”, “Genesis”, “How to be Me”, “Hi Ren”, and others, using religion as a vehicle for expressing emotion & connection & metaphor rather than actually expressing any particular religious beliefs. As an ex Christian with an enduring love for the bible and connection with religious beliefs, I resonate strongly.
@JonSimon-l9s5 ай бұрын
You can be religious spiritual believe in God without subscribing to a particular religion imho I believe in God and would say the basis of my faith is Christianity but I don't believe they got everything right and I believe churches and governments over the ages have warped it and used it to manipulate people and keep them obedient I feel that about religion across the board I feel like they took it and twisted it to get people to obey and do what they wanted them to do.... But I think if you put your faith in God and and live your life trying to be the best person you can be as long as your a good person and you try to grow and just be morally a good person than your are doing the right thing

He's filming that from Canada, where he is being treated for some of the damage caused by his mis-diagnoses and the damage Lyme disease has caused his body. When he speaks about the doctor with the generous glow, he's talking about having been contacted by a stem cell doctor who had been reading Ren's blogs (that he was talking to his microphone next to death in bed). That doctor offered him a $25,000 stem cell treatment for free. There is some great good in this world, and the world can thank that doctor for Ren still being with us today.

Not Lyrics in the captions, but his commentary, his story, his 'Troubles.' Yes, both the intro and outro. YT Closed Captions are notoriously bad, and so it was natural to think it was some YT goof. For those of us who have one of the listed illnesses in his captioned commentary outro, this is a rare and welcome acknowledgement. You may notice in a few other songs of Ren, that there are some sentences added that come out of nowhere. That was actually done by Ren as clues for his Money Game ARG (Alternative Reality Game), which was a massive online collaborative puzzle solving series of videos with clues to get to the next one. After Money Game Part 1 and Part 2 (Lyric Video), Ren did something special, he made this huge online game, some videos in the chain had Easter Eggs for other works like his epic trilogy 'The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full) [includes the finale of Violet's Tale]. It led to the 'prize video' for those that solved it, then the penultimate video 'Eden' was released which I think you'll find fascinating, then he dropped Money Game Part 3, his most elaborate video production yet. Most just check out the Money Game trilogy, but never realize there was this epic work of the Money Game ARG. You can be one of the few who replayed this event with the playlist link below, but only after Money Game Part 1 and Money Game Part 2 (Lyric Video)!
