Girls I’ve seen you in the past and I love your banter and the way you feel so deeply. This song is very special to me. As someone living with chronic illnesses, quit my job 13 years ago. Spent 24 hours a day in bed like.Ren. Depression, anxiety, all over her body pain, extreme fatigue, diabetes, chronic migraines, anemia. Then developed gastroparesis, no motility in my intestines, and colon, so constant nausea, severe constipation, and fire acid reflux. Two small brilliant children. Stole my motherhood. Couldn’t participate in life. Almost all my hearing is gone, my kids now college age, miss so much of their life since middle and elementary school and life with my husband. Like you said, you look back at who you were. I was strong, determined a go-getter. I was a dancer, my whole life, moved to New York City after high school attended the Julie school for dance, on my way to dancing professionally when everything suddenly stopped. No doctor knew the cause of all these things. Yes 1 million different ones treating different symptoms. Diet with zero fiber, no fruit, no vegetables, no seeds no nuts, low cheese, soft food, and only white refine carbs, rice mashed potatoes, applesauce, yogurt. IV.s for fluids and IV for iron. Finally diagnosed, like ren, with a genetic disease called mitochondrial disease. No cure. Like you said again you get to some acceptance of this is just how life is now, family, friends, and others say no you have to fight, but sometimes the more you fight the worse it gets. I’m a little better these days with some things, I can drive some go out to eat and do some things around the house. Mainly though still living with those troubles every day. Thanks to Ren for awareness and for you three for spreading this message that is affecting so many.❤✌️🫶🏻

You ladies were wondering what Ren was like at the height of his illness, & a video on his channel shows Ren at one of his lowest points, 2 years before getting his stem cell transplantation. He had a health blog at that time and was documenting his journey in trying to find out what his sickness was & hoping to find a treatment. He was 24 in that 6 minute video blog, in tears & positive that he wouldn't survive to see the age of 30. The video is titled "Hi Ren Premieres on KZbin on Dec 15th" & interestingly enough that video was what caught the attention of a stem cell doctor; whose heart went out to Ren because his own son was a musician as well. That video got the doctor to reach out to Ren and offered Ren the free stem cell transplantation that saved Ren's life. Ren could have never afforded that treatment on his own, which was estimated to be around £25,000 UK. Be warned it's a heartbreaker to watch, plenty of tissues are recommended. ❤❤❤️✌️.
