Yay! Name of the wind 😊 I love that Brandon made it seem like Wayne was in trouble with some debt collectors, but it turns out he’s just rich and that want him to use his money. Also, him stealing from Wax is literally just to troll him, because he can buy literally anything now. Also, the daughter of the man he killed finally accepting his help, and shedding tears for the man she hated was very powerful for me. Loved the whole wrap up to the book. Especially Wayne’s statue that had interchangeable hats 😂

8:30 Each Shard has their own God Metal, so any Shard visiting Scadrial would have their own metal but they might not choose to manifest the metal. As I understand it the God Metals are simply the Investiture of that God in a solid, stable(ish) form. So in theory you could make Honor's Metal by taking a sh^t ton of Stormlight and compressing it into a solid, though in that case it would likely begin to turn back into a gas as soon as the pressure was released. I also have no idea what mechanism(s) would cause said compression. You could also, in theory, turn Warlight into Warmetal

32:40 Sanderson has said that Hoid uses Fortune to cause himself to be at the most important place at the most important time, but his use of Fortune doesn't tell him any of the WHY so he's constantly hunting for information to try and figure out why the F- he's where he is

20:25 Aethers were originally from an unpublished novel that Brandon wrote called Aether of Night. They're believed to be a form of Invested entity that predates The Shattering, and their world of origin hasn't made it into the Cosmere in an official sense. That being said, they've supposedly spread to many planets, which should mean that we'll be running into Aetherbound more and more frequently as the Cosmere becomes more connected and Worldhopper friendly. TwinSoul is almost certainly not from the planet in Tress, but I don't know if there's any confirmation if he's from the original Aether planet or not.

1:03:00 Just because Kelsier doesn't have HIS Allomancy doesn't mean he couldn't use a medallion to gain some abilities. He's got a living body, and we know from Allik in the previous book that there are 3-power medallions. I've always assumed that was how he intended to Steelpush. Kelsier seems like the type to walk around with a pocket full of 3-power medallions for any combination he might need, and I find that mental image kind of funny

Regards Elantris, go with the dramatized edition from audible. It is awesome, same for warbreaker. You will like name of the wind, however I doubt the story will be finished, just enjoy it for what it is.

Love the tips on the dramatized editions! I may be picky, but does it still read all of the words of the books? Like all the “he said/she saids” and such? I can probably get past it if not through, will definitely look into it! And I know it! Haha that’s the biggest thing killing me about this series, I have no confidence that it’ll be finished, I just hear from everyone I have to read it anyways 😂

the question on any shard creating corresponding metals, i think if they will their investiture into a metal than yes. because the metals like atium and larasium are just consentrations of the investiture of a shard itself or the body of the shard. it naturally condenses as its distributed into the world but it obviously takes alot of time and work to get it together since the whole battle over the atium cash was important to ruin. we also see invesiture take on various other shames such as liquid and light or some combination of the two in stormlight archive. im not sure why theirs must be light vs the other gods making metals but obviously they can consititue their body into any of the 4 states of matter being solid liquid gas and plasma.

It's not that Hoid is working AGAINST the Ghostbloods/Kelsier, but rather the Ghostbloods have a very "if you aren't with us you're against us" mentality, and Hoid is never going to join a group like that because his goals are his and he refuses to set those goals aside to achieve someone else's. So the Ghostbloods are actively working against Hoid, and Hoid is actively blocking their attempts to work against him, but if the Ghostbloods would just go find someone else to annoy Hoid wouldn't necessarily get in their way.

There is definitely something more going on, but I lean in the direction of harmony learned things he doesn’t want to share for whatever reason. Not necessarily that ruin has more influence. But I could be wrong😂
