I was quoted $12K for 14pallets (labor not included) for my 9K sq ft lawn ... I said eff it. Rented roto tiller from HD, tilled for 2 days, raked the entire yard on day 3. Put McGill compost down on day 4 & 5 ... Seeded zenith zoysia on day 6. Rested on day 7 😂 60 days later the yard looks like a golf course when I run my McLane reel mower. Total cost of renting tiller ($150) + seed ($750) + compost ($300) = $1200 and I still have 3 left over bags of seed for overseeding
