I know it wouldn't be practical but that Frontosa colony would look epic in the empty 1800 Bellagio tank with the coral.

@Selliis4 жыл бұрын
Love this and honestly think this colony is an amazing addition to the rescue and something that is a great educational fish for your purpose. The Frontosa are a major food source for the region they exist and keeping them as a representation of what they mean to their region in Africa is great learnings for those that come through the rescue. My only thought is I've come to understand that they are a deeper water fish so they might like a deeper tank and thrive with a solid dither fish swimming above them.

I honestly don’t know how you put up with the crap some people say 🙄 Sounds like there are a lot of people out there who have quarantine tanks as large as their display tanks and the money to medicate twice the volume in said large quarantine tanks. Then there are those who assume because you are decorating it they must be staying there, would it be better for the fish to spend their time in quarantine without areas to hide in? According to some comments they haven’t thought about how it takes to quarantine fish or taken into account that most of your tanks run on one system and can’t be used for quarantine. Sheesh it’s not rocket science and it’s not hard to tell you do the right thing for your fish even converting your swimming pool to give them more room. I say great job guys and I don’t blame you for being tired and snappy. Best of luck from an Australian supporter

Hey Josh I've been keeping african cichlids for over 15 years. I would not give out any of those frontosa babies unless u tell them they are hybrids you have different locations of fronts in that tank. The deeper blue/purple look like a Zaire possibly Kapama location. The one you had previous and some of the ones that u just got have a solid stripe through the eye are the more common Burundi location which get a much large hump but not alot of blue colorarion. Also they are located in deep water and don't like alot of light and they do not do well with mbuna cichlids which are notorious for nipping at long fins. Mbuna need a diet more geared toward like spirlina and haps, frontosa can have some of that but are predators... hope this helps out
