Man, I love KZbin! I grew up in environments that were full of drugs, violence, and other bad stuff. I didn't learn about managing money or investing until I stumbled on KZbin videos like yours. These videos taught me to hope for better things, to be smarter with whatever money I have, and to make things happen. My life has improved a lot, thanks to you guys and others. Thank you so much! 👍😊

There is good women out there... I pray you find the right lady...... what to look for in a lady; 1 A lady with faith 2 she is more like a ladylike then just a women 3 she speaks with respectfully, soft and calm in her speech 4 She dresses for you and not for attention... 5. She would be a mother and not name mother 6 she will be your right hand and support through good and hard times 7 She expresses love on a daily basis 8 she is prepared to hang out with everyday and doing things together 9. She will not get bored of you 10 she takes care of your finances and lives in a healthy balance lifestyle 10 she puts you first in everything 11 she happily visits your parents and treats them like their own 12 she does not talk behind your back instead utters good about And the list goes on.......... having faith and practicing faith is key to true happiness and success, as God is the one who can guarantee and you and your lady must strive and never give up hope in God..... think and live positive the above also applies to you.....

When is the best time to plant a tree? Twenty years ago. When is the second best time to plant one? Now. If you want an avocado tree, it only takes about a day to go to the plant nursery, buy the tree, and plant it. If you wait a year or two till the interior renovations are done, you will delay the maturity of the tree and fruit harvest from it by that amount.

Curious what it’s like to be African American there? I ask because my son in law isn’t happy in USA - do you speak Portugués? I live in Mexico, I grew up here- love it- but I think they would like Portugal more- because it’s more European-

@@RamonaRayTodosSantosBCS I'm Portuguese and mixed-race (my Mother is black and my Father is white). Both on my fathers and mothers side there are several mixed-race couples and their children. My best friend is white as is his whole family. He has a black partner and a beautiful mixed-race daughter. We all live well and race isn't an issue at all. Does racism exist in Portugal? Of course, as it does in the rest of the world, but way less than in other European countries towards black people, imo. If they want to move to Portugal, racism will not be a problem.

I'd love to see a renovation series that explains how to budget, costs, since you are doing it yourselves what are things you can totally do only the two of you and where you need to hire people, what about the tools (rent vs buy), etc....not just the visual pretty part, but the nitgrit of home renovation and economics! Congrats on the purchase!

consider making the house more energy-efficient while you're at it, such as by adding insulation. It will make it much more comfortable in the wintertime. Burning wood is horrible for the lungs, which is why wood-burning fireplaces are restricted in the Bay Area.

Very happy for you guys! May your family live a happy prosperous life in Portugal. I have one comment on the renovation plans though. Personally I’d keep the downstairs kitchen, open it up to the living room and make the upstairs kitchen the 3rd room. I think you’ll want the kitchen and living room to be on the same floor while the rooms on a separate floor away from the living room noises and the sounds from upstairs. Also having a ground level kitchen is better for when you bring groceries - you won’t need to carry them all the way to the first floor. Good luck!

Andrew it would be great, yes. Renovation here in USA is very risky with un regulated chemical materials. I was chemically injured just from moving into our new home breathing in all the chemicals. Left me chronically ill. We did move and gut an old home using all non toxic materials from green building supply.com. Check them out. Great family owned business and a life saver for us. Everything is non toxic.

It's incredible how you managed to save a lot of money by simply moving away from Lisbon. There for this price you would get a studio or a 1 bedroom apartment, and you managed to get a huge hou with two kitchens and an awesome back yard and also an amazing entrance. I also wonder who the previous owner was because it seems like he meant to rent the upper half of the house while living in the lower floor which is a very smart idea. Thank you for this video and for all your content in general 😊🙏🏻🙏🏻

It is very typical for portuguese houses to have the upstairs being the "formal home" but live everday life dowmstairs only. The upstairs is usually only used for holidays and in some cases to sleep, if there aren't enough bedrooms downstairs.
