After our Leo Burdock's review last time we were in Dublin a lot of people told us we had to come back and try Beshoff Bros as they are one of the best fish & chip shops in the city.

I’ve lived in Dublin for 8 years and have been to this Beshof’s loads of times. I haven’t tasted better fish and chips anywhere else in Dublin, but the UK fish & chip scene is another level. Fair score I’d say.

They use peanut oil. Makes things much tastier. Their garlic mayo is great. There's another beshoffs in howth, and it's unreal. They're a different crowd. The trick with burdocks is they don't drain stuff long enough, and you gotta rip the bag open fast to stop the steam making the batter soggy

You should have went to Beeshoffs in O'Connell Street, have not been in a few years but it was always very good, also should try the chipper out in Howth, its good fish & chips. Well worth the journey if you're still in Ireland👍 I also like Cod with curry, bloody disgracful not having curry sauce 🤣

I'm liberties man, I know my chips. The best fish and chips I've ever had were out of Beshofs, O'Connell Street hands down. Burdocks couldn't hold a candle to it. Proper fresh food not the shit u get after pub closing. Up the Dubs ✊☘️

Fair score. The one in Howth is the best by far: Always busy on a sunny weekend. Just watch out for the sea gulls (Beshoff's Biggest fans)!

Lad's if you want to eat the BEST fish and chips around Ireland then you have to visit P.J'S Diner in Oylegate Co.Wexford, by far the best I've ever had, I'm from Dublin and ate fish and chips all over Ireland and England but P.J's Diner is the best ever, fresh fish and hand made Beer batter wow just wow.

lads...I remember when Beshoffs first opened......they had about 12 to 15 different fish on the menu...apart from the usual suspects they would have Ray.Lemon Sole.Plaice.Rock Salmon.Scampi.Hake.Whiting.Pollack .etc

You could have hopped a ride on those chips back to the mainland. They were like life rafts. I like how Callum stands at least six inches away from Matt when he is sampling the first few bites of the food. Foodgasms can get quite messy.

I totally agree that customer service is very important ! If you're going to charge an arm and a leg for fish and chips,at least give the customer a bit of comfort! IE: a smile. Have a great day or even a free fish for a youtuber that came a very long way to do a review. Lads, when I move into my new house, you are all more than welcome to do a food review on my stew or chicken curry. All free of charge 😂 Love from the potato family 💚

Thought that was a high score.. 6.5 prob better.. portions were small for the price u paid (granted it was Dublin) .. like u said lacked that character and felt like a chain.. can’t bit fish and chips in paper .. no curry sauce (I don’t even like it but that’s just gotta be there) .. fish didn’t look that big either considering u asked for a big cod .. enjoyed the review .. keep up the good work

The curry sauce is a UK thing, we don't like curry sauce with traditional fish and chips (salt and vinegar ) and mushy peas are a UK thing as well, it's like having chips with a chicken curry instead of rice, YUCK. Beshoff Howth is better and they have mushy peas for the tourists :)

Can’t call yourself a fish and chip shop and not have either mushy peas or curry sauce … they looked confused that Matt even asked for it like it was unusual. Chips and batter had no crisp whatsoever. Should of be diducted 2 points alone for having no curry sauce , mushy peas or even gravy. Joke of a place….very generous Matt 👍🏻
