Hi stocky I manage a large deli in barnsley market very busy market but its all new not like the old fashioned bury market we have the likes of next and jd sports joined on and a cineworld but coaches come from all over pal 😊

Great video guys, in the mid 80s my mum and dad took me to many markets on a Saturday Bury Bolton etc mostly Stockport as we lived in Levenshulme. Brought back some great memories, thanks Stocky.

Another great video. The pies looked beltin😋 Always enjoy going to Bury Market. We sometimes eat at the Greek Deli/cafe which is in the indoor market - I think it's called Katsouri! Give it a look next time you are there 😄

This is what the north is all about. The lovely lady on the meat stall where you got your chicken livers ❤️ time to stop and have a quick chat and a bit of a laugh. You don't see many markets like that now. great to see the black pudding stall still going. My mum brings one over to Ireland every time she visits me. 😂

@@Stockybloke absolutely not, it's gone in minutes! 😂😂 taste of home. How did you like the Irish white pudding? It's a staple breakfast food here in Ireland, and I really like it. But the Irish black pudding is dire here compared to Bury. It's more made of barley and oats than anything else, too crunchy 😞

Hi Alfie I just got on the stand why other towns can’t do it like Bury do, all the other ones are packing up some non-existent. Stockport is just an indoor now no outdoor, and yet Bury he’s thriving still.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yeah I been coming to Bury market for years. I love coming here I always have to eat a black pudding with mustard, and try a few pies. If there is a rum truffle there, I can’t resist that. 👍😋😋

I enjoyed this review that much i had to watch it again it was bloody brilliant sorry for swearing i think you both smashed it and hope you do more reviews like this and what great selections you both picked up black pudding pork pies egg custards food of the gods and loved the bit where you were eating the hot black pudding looked brill and a big favourite of mine and if you have some at home try it with fried onions too and mustard as many as you like it just seems to work for me but cook them in separately . Great review guys loved this and what a brilliant place, Firstly Sword fish its mega but only had it in Spain its stunning you got to get some for Simon to try, secondly Whole Squid if you can get it another fave guys done on a griddle. Well Bury Black pudding got to be the finest and you guys did it justice i was so jealous watching you two eating it and then that Dinky pork pie looked amazing and wished i was with you both on that review All the best and take care both of you Simon

Hi Greg, I live in Bredbury but go to Bury twice a month it`s only 20 mins up the motorway, cheap parking and so many shops. Considering it`s only on my doorstep I would would never entertain Stockport again, the council have killed it!!

Hi Leah Thank you for your wonderful comment. To answer your question, there is a carpark over the road, and there is a tunnel under that road the takes you into the middle of the market. I’m saying less than 50 yards away. 👍😀

If you look at the age of the people in the market its people that grew up going to markets and shops and there are very few young people there because they grew up buying everything online. Eventually Bury Market will be just a memory talked about by those in the old folks homes. Enjoy it while you still can.

Here in the midlands black pudding is usually on a party buffet, raw. It occasionally appears on a brekkie cooked but never had it with mustard or piccalilli, must try 👍
