I did dams for my internals, but I made them out of cardboard and made sure to seal the bottom of them really well. I made sure to tripple check as I was filling them that they weren't leaking, and it actually turned out really nice. Ian Donaldson did a video for Mach 1 rocketry where he did the whole "epoxy rivets" thing, which is what I did as well, and my fins feel really solid.

Filling them is the exact issue, though. Instead of creating internal fillets, filling the whole fin can just adds a bunch of unnecessary weight to the worst spot that you possibly could.

​@@RocketVlogsTrue, and I think it would have been a bigger issue if I was using a bigger airframe, but it's a 54mm airframe with a 38mm mount so there really isn't that much more epoxy than what internal fillets would have been. If it was a 4 inch airframe, I definitely see why that would be terrible 😂

I've always found the Big Bertha design to be so revolting it legit makes me mad when I see it. It's obscene and makes a mockery of the sport. Not only do I not like Big Bertha, I don't like people who like Big Bertha either. Anyone who consciously decides, "Ya know, I think I'll go with the uber phallic adult toy rocket," is deviant of mind and should consult a therapist.

@@RocketVlogs My favorite liftoff photo is befouled by a huge, unpainted, massively-upscaled Big Bertha that was on the pad right next to mine. One of my coworkers commented, "That's awesome! But what's with the d**do?"

Typically we don't use a switch at all. Just twist the wires and press the button!
