I can't get over how you guys keep managing to out do yourselves episode after episode! This one especially. Who would ever think of riding the exterior of a submarine down to the bottom of the ocean? Well, I suppose the submarine captain deserves some credit for the idea but you guys did it and caught it on video. Not only that but the way you manage to find the perfect natives everywhere you go to introduce you to the best experiences of the port you are in is REALLY cool and a big part of cruising. The New York Yacht club should be keeping a close eye on you for their "Far Horizons" cruising award. You all deserve the honor at some point considering all the people you've introduced to cruising and some whose lives have to have changed because of it.

I have been watching your channel since i found it right before Christmas when my daughter decided to spend it with her BF instead of me... I knew it was coming, but it is just the two of us! I alleviated my 'Bah Hum Bug!' spirit by binge watching all your first 98 episodes over the holidays. I enjoy the way you guys share all your experiences, good and bad; exploring the places you go, getting to know the people and joining into everything wherever you go and the sailing parts.... your weather prep has been good leaning for me. I have been watching since and I feel like I am watching a good televisions series. You guys are really good at editing! You also have good instincts when adding crew and good taste in girlfriends, as I have enjoyed everyone who has joined you crew. Of course, my favorite is Marta because she is the one I can relate to the most. I won't lie that I am envious of her connection to join in your fun! This was my all time favorite to episode I have watched (Before it was India and the Phatti Guy that inspired me to buy that coffee mug that always makes me smile)... I cannot say for sure whether it is because of the amazing adventure you guys had riding a sub to a wreck or because i am spending my first night on my Kadey Krogen Manatee that I have chosen as my permanent home and vacation enhancer, and I watched it sitting in my cockpit with the sound of water all around me. I took a week long sailing lesson with my Dad (who was 70 and rocked it!) about 8 years ago, but I got interested in Trawlers after impulsively buying a Chris Craft Catalina to use as an Airbnb. I started staying on it more and more and did not really want to go home to my condo. This boat is not really big enough to comfortably live on, especially if you do engineering work on a PC all day from home. Whatever... I was addicted to living on the water. As an empty nester in my early 50's I could think of no reason I could not do this. I just had a lot to learn. I started taking classes, reading books, going to boat shows and trawler fests and looked at a lot of boats for a year and a half while living on the tiny boat and selling my condo. It all came together and I found the perfect boat for me now. My adventures may be a little less exotic, although I am in Florida and it does have its own special kind of crazy exotics! The plan is to anchor out locally at least one weekend a month and then plan some cruises to areas in Florida that work with my vacation time and a cushion for weather/unexpected trouble. I hope to take early retirement in 5 years to finally start cruising without a set schedule. Right now my stretch goal is to make it to Virgin Gorda and play at the Baths without the cruise crowd I had when I found this cool place. Of course, if I could find a Kadey Krogen 39 or 42 in my budget, I would probably be trying to figure out how to cruise some of the areas where you guys have been... you never know! My question to you is how to get people that want to go along and learn. I am doing this on my own, using hired captains or friends to help at this point. I would love to find a way to share my story and get other people interested in coming along for a bit. Even though I am 53, my two best friends are 82 and 29, so I like people who are curious, nice and adventurous I have considered trying to blog or even VLOG my journey, as it seems that there are not too many women who buy a trawler and want to go have some adventures. So far I only meet other females living and/or cruising on sailboats. I was the only female attending Trawler Fest on her own and have even had men ask me why a woman would buy a cabin cruiser... My stock reply is, "Well, why did you?" Who knows... maybe I can find some other empty nesting moms out there that are ready for adventure and just need a nudge! I cannot be the only crazy one out there! If you have any suggestions to getting a crew of good, like minded people when you are not young and expected to want adventure anymore... any age, male or female, gay or straight... just good people who can adapt to new people and enjoy an adventure.... and also try not to whine when things are not always easy and smooth. That is all I ask of people.

I still have to practice much about parting. Parting , Oh parting. Yet as an older SVD Brother would say, Whenever there is closing a new opening is revealed. But I farther say that, it is not actually closing but ALWAYS beginnings. There is no such thing as closing but rather ALWAYS beginings for even those who have closed and departing are for sure are entering into another beginnings. A new dimension. A new life. What ever we call it. Good weather to all SV Delos Crew. One last NOTE ---- I laugh a lot when you come upon with a birthday party when looking and enticed with the barbecue smell.... LOL.

Hi, I've really enjoy your sailing videos ...I am praying for your safety and for God to guide you and protect you in your travels. I got into sailing and eventually bought my own sailboat after reading Robin Lee Graham's book "Dove". Robin discovered God's protection in the Indian Ocean after being demasted in a storm. The storm calmed down rather quickly as Robin prayed out of desperation. He was able to jury rig a sail and crossed the Indian Ocean to Madagascar and later after repairs was able to finish sailing around the world single handed.
