I wonder why everything, not just the rides, is painted red and orange. Weird. I do however know why the food prices are insane. It's because Six Flags sucks. Never again.

I rode Canyon Blaster when it was at Opryland USA in Nashville, Tennessee as Rockin’ Roller Coaster (1994 & 1995 - closed with the park in 1997). Sad to see how it looks now with the half repaint and heard on other roller coaster vlogs that it hasn’t aged well but I LOVED it as Rockin’ Roller Coaster and have very fond memories of it. In 1894, it was my favorite coaster at Opryland and second favorite coaster in Opryland in 1995 (favorite became Hangman...which relocated to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom... very sad to hear that one aged very badly). Hoping that the Great Escape will finish repainting Canyon Blaster soon. Great Escape looks like a very cute park. Comet and Bobcat look like great wooden coasters!

Glad you liked my home park. If you go back, you should go on the log ride there, it has a cool indoor section with animatronics. Also, there is an Alice in Wonderland walkthrough that’s cool near the Screamin Eagles. Finally, Adirondack Outlaw is a lot of fun to ride and at 15:25 past that blue building there was a walkthrough with a bridge you could shake a lot while on. That walkthrough may never reopen though.

Whenever we vacationed up in Lake George as a kid, we'd get to go to Storytown, which changed to Great Escape to Six Flags GE. However, we never went to Gaslight Village which was owned by same person. Storytown was a fun time, the park wasn't that huge but lots of stuff for us to do. Of course some of it is now gone but you see remnants. Used to love going up to Ghost Town through the tunnel and it was so much more vibrant then. Steamin’ Demon came later but was a nice addition. Went on it many times and it was a pretty smooth ride. Took our family to GE last year since it had been a while since we took our kids who are adults now. My daughter and I went on it and I couldn't believe how horrible the ride feel was. Both of us whacked the side of our heads at the same location and we had serious headaches which lasted a good half hour. Don't think we'll go back, lol. After a bit, took my son to Canyon Blaster, we also noticed the weird paint decision. This ride was pretty smooth when it was first set up but this time, we hit a good jolt and our backs felt like something snapped. Once done, we looked over the track and noticed it seemed like it was two coasters, like part of the track ended and they started fresh but there was some spacing between the two. I asked an attendant about it, he said something along the line of it being set up but a second company had to come in to finish it and of course original parts weren't available and they had to fabricate stuff to blend it in. We're going up to Lake George next week, I'm tempted to go in just for the Bobcat, we'll see. Sorry for the winded post.

I love when you guys show love to my home park. There used to be even more weird theming. When you guys were in that kids section, that weird gate looking building behind you used to be the entrance to a walkthrough attraction called jungleland where an inflatable alligator would jump out at you when you walked by it and there were weird animatronic hippos. There was a huge plastic gorilla on the roof of the entrance looking down at you as you walked in. It was playing this crappy roaring sound effect on a loop and when I was a kid id try to hide behind my Dad because it scarred the crap out of me lol.

While watching your reactions to Steamin' Demon, I was thinking about my terrible experience on Nopuko. Then you guys talked about it and Steamin' Demon being the worst two roller coasters ever. Since Arrow started making more intense rides, the industry was focused on bigger and more intense and what coasters like Bobcat teach is that this path is misguided. These smaller family coasters are a lot of fun and great investments for parks

2:31 Weird they wouldn't stagger ALL of the seams, even on vertically stacked track. That's a general huge no no in construction to have multiple seams in line like that. Even skipping over 1 board. I'm sure it's been engineered, but, still odd. Curious what screws they're using too, must be structural screws as generally, screws aren't used for framing due to poor sheer loading. They tend to just tear when a sheer force is applied. There are special structural screws though, like what's used on joist hangers nowadays. Those may just be temporary to hold it together before they put the nuts/bolts through. I'd LOVE to look through the blueprints on it.

Okay some history about canon blaster cyan on blaster sat in a field for 5 years and Morgan had to make new track because most of the track got damaged, I belive that great escape had a top 2 before bobcat with bobsleds and comet flashback is a good boomerang (with OT restraints) and comet is easily #1 in the park and it never seems slow even when it is cold and raining at opening nights rides you name it and bob cat is amazing also steamin demon is best in the back row because the first drop has a strong pop of airtime and on steam on demon hold you’re head out on the corkscrews so your shoulders get hit instead of the head I give great escape a rating of 10/10

Regarding the pre-cut track, it only seems to be in certain areas. If you look closely, you'll still see plenty of areas of standard, layered track. I just got this credit last weekend, and I was surprised to see how little of this appeared to be pre-cut GG track. Even in the station, you can see where layered track ends and transitions into vertically stacked track.

not all GG pre cut track is vertically stacked, but it is all pre-manufactured at their facility and then shipped on site to be placed. The vertical track is only applied in areas where the train is traveling in a straight line (aka, no banked turns). Don't worry, the whole ride feels smooth. The vertical track is there to reduce maintenance overtime and is used whenever possible.
